How's yours holding up Skyrunner?

Still going good, had it hooked up to my MacBook playing about in Photoshop and watching some hi-def stuff on it, by no means a stress test but I couldn't really be happier with it.

After all the horror stories I was expecting a lot worse, and I have looked over it again and again and can't seem to see anything wrong.

Knowing my luck it won't last forever, but for now I am very pleased :D

good morning guys, here are the files to do your own A01 FW upgrade

http://cid-8c9c325b9dbea304.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/DELL?uc=3&nl=1&wa=wsignin1.0&sa=422124906

I have tested it in Windows 7 and it worked great, no more dithering in tha AdobeRGB and sRGB modes!!

on that site there is a PDF document that will explain how to do the update, you need top change the extension of the main file from EX_ to EXE.

Enjoy it!

This could change things if legit (no offence panzaman) as I would now be more inclined to buy.

@panzaman - Hows your FW update holding up? is there any info on if this is an offical update from Dell?

EDIT: @panzaman - The PDF is corrupt? ..:/

PDF seems to be fine (using foxit reader, the file needs to be renamed from pdf_ to pdf, or obviously select the appropriate app).

[Note I can't vouch for the authenticity/efficacy of the application]

HI, I can confirm that the update is legit, I did it last night using the windows 7 vm Machine I got installed on my macnook and it went thru fine.
There is no more dithering in the sRGB and Adobe RGB modes.

I downloaded both the instructions and files from that site, they worked great.

the update process lasts a couple of minutes, the screen will go black in the meanwhile, at the end the monitor will resart itself with the updated firmware.

if I was you I would wait for the new HP 24" with IPS sRGB screens, ZR24w I believe is to be called, should be out in february, is not a wide gamut monitor so is likely not to have any of the problems of the U2410.
