I don't think they do, although keep in mind the Dell actually has a zero LIT pixel guarantee. Fortunately Dells own staff get confused by the definition between lit and dead pixels, so you can usually swap out a monitor even if there's 1 dead pixel. The NEC's look good. not that much more expensive (about £100 give or take for the 2490wxi2) although I wonder if that will guarantee zero panel defects. ahh
Well, unless you fight them. I was also told that any problems must be notified within the first 7 days. More troubling is that I was told (I'm pretty sure incorrectly) that the 7/30 day period starts when the monitor is purchased from Dell. This means, if you buy from another business who bought from Dell, and they've had that monitor in stock for 30 days, Dell could say it's outside the allowed period! However that just sounds wrong to me, so I'm fairly sure the person who told me this didn't know what they were talking about. Their CS staff don't seem too used to dealing with people who didn't buy from Dell directly.Something I found out today which I think others should be aware of; Dell will only offer a sealed replacement up until 30 days after the purchase date, after that they can only offer a refurbished unit
Hmm, that shouldn't be if they have any UK stock left, so try asking them to hurry it along, they CAN request to do it if they really want to and there's stock available. They do usually say "10 working days" and advise a date based on that, however often it should show up long before then. The thing I don't like is that sometimes they just send you something without warning you it's going to be delivered..Anybody had problems getting replacement from dell?
They told me my replacement would be delivered today, now they are saying it will be the 7th of october.

That's what I would think too.. For example, I just don't see someone buying a Dell laptop from a high street store and then being told by Dell "actually we supplied that laptop to that store 4 months ago, so you're not covered by the same replacement policy". There's just something about that which seems incorrect. If this is true, there has to be something in the Sale of Goods Act that will "beat" Dell's guarantee...? I might just phone my local office and have a quick chat before clicking the button.
