Anyone using the Vostro 1500 with Vista Ultimate 64?
When i first got this laptop, 64bit drivers were available on the Dell website, but they are no longer available.
Why sell a 64bit laptop without 64bit driver support....sounds a bit 'Acer' to me
Last night i was copying something off a dvd and noticed that annoying sound in the headphones, but it was a lot worse than the cpu noise i used to get.
Does anyone know of a fix for this noise?
Cheers
The RMClock thing? I used to use that, not sure why i stopped using it But ive just tried to reinstall it but it will not let me do so - maybe i only installed it on my vista 32 partition and its never worked with vista 64
One other question, I have what looks like an infrared sensor on the front of the laptop below the media buttons (play/stop etc). Is it infrared? I dont remember getting the option to have infrared on the laptop. What is it?
I have a Vista64 install media which I used for my desktop.
Would I be able to use that for my laptop, and enter the serial on the base of my Vostro?
All of the Vostro 1500 drivers are available elsewhere online. Its just a bit strange how they used to be on the Dell site.....and now they're notGood call.
There don't appear to be any Vista64 drivers at all on the Dell website..
