Destiny 2... It's a coming!

I like him, but take his reviews with a pinch of salt. Destiny is exactly the game I thought it would be a loot grind in the vein of Borderlands, which I love.

He didn't like it.

It might just be bad luck in terms of the videos of his that I've watched, but he never seems to like anything. I remember watching his review of South Park 2 recently, which he absolutely despised and said that it was a prime example of the worst of modern gaming. Personally, I loved South Park, so I think that maybe his game likes and mine are just at opposites.

How far in on missions are you? I'm around same level but won't be on till tonight.

not that far. i'm having to do side adventures in order to be able to do the next story mission.

I won't be on til tonight either probably after 7pm. this goes to everyone. we should be teaming up so we can enjoy the experience together, have a laugh and help each other out and we will all level up faster too as a result. i was stuck on a mission where I was refusing to use my heavy because I was convinced there would be a boss fight and I would need it for that. so I was failing and then i said bugger it after 3 attempts i'll use the heavy and no all the adds were the main fight. so I didn't need to save the heavy for the boss. however if i had 1 or 2 with me in the fireteam we would have breezed through it.

if you are on discord. start teaming up. that way you know who is good at what and who you want to raid with in future, etc. plus i'd rather be doing strikes and PvP with people I can talk to and we can play as team instead of individuals.

Whats the deal having more characters - do you have to do the campaign again?

yeah anything you do on 1 character you effectively have to do on all 3. the only reason to have multiple characters in the first place is to have a chance of testing them all out and see what one you prefer or using the most OP one for the job at hand. for example warlocks effectively gave you a second life in raids which was useful in hard mode as you only get 1 life. it also gives you multiple chances at the same loot. so 3 nightfall's instead of 1 so you have 3 times the chance of getting the good stuff.

I finished the main story, hit level 20, unlocked the patrols thingey and did the first milestone it gave me. I think my options now are do some strikes and the adventures / lost sectors / public events. So if anyone wants to do some of them then I will be looking for a group on Discord over the weekend at some point. Probably not tonight though, it's lego batman movie night :D

Ahh balls I think I will just buy it. I will only play an hour or 2 a night if that so it should be good enough for me. And I think controller support works identical to the consoles so should be fine for how I want to play!

I don’t have the OCuk discord but message me if you see me online and I’ll alqats be up for teaming up. Even if starting from scratch I need to start my other two characters soon

Sent a request to the clan (Macgyver); can't play that much but I'm a decent pvp'er, up for some of that as well as general bumming around.

Ive heard so much about this not having a good endgame and thats the only reason i have not bought it for PC yet.
I know i will enjoy the game a hell of a lot and will be left just wanting more as looter games be they shooter or rpg, arpg or whatever i love them.
Ive so many games occupying my time right now , one of which is warframe ,similar to destiny but has almost too much to do at endgame and it fills my looter shooter needs very well but i really do like the look of D2 with a big endgame if that ever happens.
So what exactly is there to do at in Destiny 2 endgame right now?
I just need a summary so i can decide on whether to buy today or wait.

warframe doesn't have a thing on destiny.

don't get what you mean by endgame. there is no endgame. you have to keep on doing events and with weekly resets you re-do the same activities every week.

new content is released every so often which means all the older content can be pretty much ignored unless you feel like doing it.

I have to wonder how much warframe you have played but thanks all the same.

Ever play diablo for example? perfect example is playing rifts and greater rifts etc after completing the campaign to increase in power.
Playing the same content over and over for extra loot is basically what endgame is.

If theres no endgame then ive no interest thanks again.
