I find cosmetic lootboxes are more the norm these days. Only subhumans like EA try it on with everything else.
 
Nope and can't see myself doing so either unless they introduce purchasable item which aren't cosmetic and then a way to know what I'm purchasing. I think my money is safe.

It is weird as it was a criticism of D1 right from the beginning. Everyone wanted a LFG (or the like) in game "space" but for whatever reason Bungie didn't bother adding this in.

In many respects it feels like Bungie have just re-made Destiny 1 but managed to screw even that up..

They're not 100% cosmetic; they're the fastest way to get a 160 Sparrow with instant summon.

E: I still wouldn't buy them, I'm fine with my 150, but still - if you're minimaxing for prestige Nightfalls you do want a 160.

Really? I already have 2 I think...not bought any :p

160 speed anyway, unsure of summon time.
 
I've got a legendary 150 - instant spawn. My exotic is 160 and says quick summon but feels like it takes a good second longer

edit: Seems I can't read. I have the Vanishing Point which has a decreased repair time
 
This game is so odd. I levelled my warlock up first and for a week i was stuck on a base power level of 265. No matter what i did, milestones nightfall, nothing would push it over. I read a lot on forums about people getting stuck on power levels. It didn't even give me higher items after reset. It got to the point i actually destroyed all the legendary gear i had on him then i started to get higher drops and finally got over the 265 hell.

Last night i levelled up a hunter and i went from base power level 155 to 178 in about 5 hours. It's crazy if i do a public event on the hunter i pretty much get a purple engram every time, i have never gotton one on my warlock. So after a 5 hour grind yesterday i got a hunter up from 155 to 283 power level but it took me two weeks to get my warlock from 265 to 279.
 
Once your first is high enough light level alts are easy to gear up as you can throw blues at them with higher light levels.

was that your second toon ? my second one is gaining light so fast its almost like something in the game wants my second toon to gain power so fast. That being said my moaning about my first toon not gaining light changed yesterday. I am getting seriously high power level rewards since yesterday. Really confused on the week i had where nothing i could do would push the light over 265. Oh well all good now it seems.

So they are changing the live stream today to address game issues. Should be interesting.

Are you sure you are not just doing your "powerful reward" milestones, which reset on Tuesdays. :)
 
Grabbing at straws here a little, but am I correct in saying the only way I can gain rep with Ikora Rey is with the weekly meditation? I'm really wanting to complete her armour set but still need the Leg armour and Titan mark, if I'm relying on the rng gods on something I can only do once each reset... I may be waiting some time.
 
Yep, 3 a week is your lot.

In D1 you could replay any story mission you wanted on heroic.. It wasn't perfect but at least you replay missions at will (Age of Triumph also brought around a Heroic story playlist which added modifiers and extra weekly rewards).

The whole meditations thing feels completely unfinished.
