Destiny 2... It's a coming!

I preordered it through Game for the Xbox a while back, looked in my orders and couldn't see it so assumed I hadn't completed transaction. Today it's landed on my doorstep and I'm fighting with all my might not to open it and play.

My Blizzard is Rusko187 if anyone is looking for someone to take part in Raids and strikes add me.

Isn't it on that hideous windows store though? The one that won't even let you change the directory of game installs?

I hate that :(

Do you mean the location harry? You can change directory of installs, you've been able to do that for maybe a year or so.

START > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > STORAGE then chose save location

The last time we tried you could not do it, only change the drive directory but as for a custom location it was a no go.

I caved in pretty easily, maybe its easier if you have never played Destiny before and are just keen after the PC beta teaser...

For those fresh in, I'm guessing some of you (@GAM8LE for example :)) are going to want to hit it hard and fast come release. I'm thinking of putting together a spoiler free mini-guide to leveling, do's/dont's, what is X event, what is X cap, when does X unlock etc. Would that be helpful?

I really want to play it again but unless I find it for near £40 I wont bother. Seems pointless as I'm out all this weekend then going to france for a week soon as well. the days should fly by...

47....

Be strong, Guardian and remember these things...

1. Unlocked frame rate.
2. wide FOV.
3. Mouse and keyboard.

Just got an Ultrawide monitor and I hear it supports very well. Just bought a Deathadder in prep for this!

So assuming this follows the same pattern as D1, is it best to try and level multiple toons simultaneously or concentrate on one at a time?

I concentrated on 1 and used the auto level to get other characters up.

Are they still going with armour and weapons acting as light level? I haven't followed the info on this game very much.

So I caved and bought Destiny 2 for my PS4, but now I am having second thoughts and dont know if I should play it or not and just hold out a month. In the long run I am going to be playing it on PC but Im just clamming to play it!

Exactly why I was going to put a mini-guide together lol :)

Short answers, and I'll expand more in a Google Doc or something

@SirJinks 1 char to start with
@Rusko187 Yes, level 20 and then gear determines your light (power) level

The approach I'd go then is plough through and get your highest character max lvl and light possible. Once you get to cap or as near as you want start a new character and grind to lvl 20. When at 20 transfer high light level items that you can and go into strikes and whatnot to get the high light level armour.

From what I recall always carry max light level so the gear dropped is in and around those figures.

Depends if it is like Year 1 Destiny or Destiny post The Taken King. TTK made levelling other toons a piece of urine. Y1 Destiny having 3 level 30/32/34 characters was bloody tough. (Never forget the grind to get ascendant/radiant shards/energy)

I'm probably going to tear through the campaign with my Hunter first. Then once she is a high level I'll start on a Titan. I'm hoping we can infuse armour towards the end.

.

Yeah when I heard it was supporting ultrawide it made me tempted to get one next year
