Destiny 2... It's a coming!

Can anyone confirm something I read on Twitch last night, if you have a character at 20 and start an alt they claimed you could auto level to 20 providing you've already got a char at that level?

Doesn't sound like something they'd offer to me atleast without paying for it.

In the old Destiny 1, you had a Spark which would auto level you - you still needed to level up your abilities.
Destiny 2, no.

Once you level to 20 on your alt char, you can move high power duplicate weapons across to him so his Power level is increased... then when you have drops / engrams, they will decrypt at higher power level to level you up FASTER.

Oh what they COULD be referring to... is an alt of the SAME type ie hunter... but you STILL need to hit level 20 before you can put high power items on him...

Sunk a couple of hours into this last night and really enjoyed it, although never having played D1 I really need to read up a little more on glimmer /engrams again. One question...what do you do with the weapons /armour you no longer use, dismantle it? If so how?

Move the cursor over the item you want to dismantle and hold F - can't be your active item.

At low Power levels, dismantle old gear. Once you get over 270, you can infuse higher items into lower ones of the same class (ie if you have yoru favourite Scout Rifle as 254 Power, and a horrible one at 270 Power, you can infused the 270 into the 254 to make the 254 a 270 power weapon... or 275, if it was an Energy weapon with a Legendary Gear Mod applied (whole new topic)...

applied to join clan , eXist#2699 if someone can accept me please :)

on a side note - who else has ran on top of the hamster wheel on the farm map?

Glad a few others experienced the same, thought I was going mad

Yes 90% of the time, except save 5 blue/rare scout rifles (either primary or secondary slot) for later. You can lock items using Shift.

Only other reason would be to keep some choice lower level weapons if you plan to start a second character.

Early on, yes. Don't buy stuff from vendors, no matter how tempting... you'll get enough drops :)
Keep some variations so if you go into Crucible, you have a selection of weapons.
Normal Crucible, it doesn't matter your Power level or weapons as it is a base level for people (well, guns each hit different damages) - only Trials of the Nine / Iron Banner does power level matter.

cheers :D

So after hamming away for about 10 hours yesterday with my group, I had 1 hang - 2 kicked to orbit - best day 1 I can remember.

Runs amazing.

do you dismantle everything you don't use?

Yep unless you specifically want to keep certain weapon types to counter specific enemies but that isn't really required until the higher level content. As was the case in destiny 1 glimmer and weapon/armour parts are more useful in the early levels.

Think you nailed it. Some of these key sites I bet have been hit by fake keys = Mass bans

One guy I spoke to bought it directly through Blizzards store... he only played the opening missions - Level 2 character. Went to bed, woke up to a ban message.

It is deffo weird. However, Bungie can't ignore these bans and will need to address the cause of it.

Really hope they patch the memory leak ASAP as it's annoying have to close the game down every 45-60 minutes to maintain a decent framerate
