*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Does anyone fancy getting the flawless raider achievement done this weekend?

If not I will be doing Iron banner most of today to get rank 4, so feel free to join or send me a message. Had some good games yesterday with the OcUK people, including a few where we managed to regain the lead and win after trailing by a large amount.
 
I wouldn't even think about doing this until they fix the glitches.

You can do the conflux part without issue, likewise the templar and the maze / gate keepers.

But its all the stupid bugs with the Oracles, the portals etc.. that ruin it.

Although i did read this on reddit which others may find interesting : a summary of all the raid bugs and how you can work around them

I'm talking about taking a lv29/30 team through normal. It's still very much achievable even with the bugs. For instance even if only 2 people get teleported(which they wont as that usually requires a death) they should still be able to kill the oracles inside without incident without a third needing to teleport in. Minotaur HP regeneration shouldn't be a massive issue either as they will be getting smashed to pieces. I've only noticed the succumb to oracle bug when they're also simply not dieing fast enough, which again won't happen on normal with 300 damage raid weapons. The red shield bug wont occur either as it only exists in hard.

We completed normal mode quickly (barring the silly atheon bugs which just seemed to be getting worse!), then got to Atheon on hard mode before calling it a night.

Will try and organise last bit of the hard mode for sunday night with the current team. Well played fellas, that 'one last try' paid off lol :)

It turned out okay in the end zoomee. Both of them turned up and the raid went really well. In fact we did it twice in the end so that our secondaries could get loot.

Phew! - I was gunna say that they've both been pretty reliable in the past - Glad to hear you guys got through it :)

SO! - To continue our efforts from last night, we need to finish off Atheon (we got as far as opening the door) on hard mode.

Plan is to complete on Sunday 8:30ish start - can any of the following players please post if they are not available (don't think we all are, and I don't want to let chewie down either)

1)- Zoomee - zoomeez - Hunter 30
2)- oHutchyo - oHutchyo - Warlock 29
3)- Sieze2 - Sieze2 - Warlock 30
4)- Jdwhalley - Jwhalley - Hunter 30
5)- Dredd - Dr3ddPS - Warlock 30
6)- ps3udo - polynomial - Hunter 30

Anyone else want to do a flawless run? It's a bit short notice so it would be best to do it at some point tomorrow. It depends what times convenient for everyone but around 7pm or so.

It would be nice if we could do it first try, but i'm expecting something to go wrong.
 
I don't think I'll attempt a flawless run until after the dlc comes out. Get my titan up to level 32 then do vault of glass on normal. Hopefully the bugs may have been fixed by then.
 
It would be nice if we could get a bunch of people who are in the OcUK clan as well as I still need the trophy for finishing the raid with a full team of clan members.

I'd be interested if I'm suitable - I know Zhokel wanted to attempt this trophy too. Both would have a 30 to bring with maxed weapons too.

Cool, what time are you both available tomorrow? I noticed you're in a group for 8.30 so I guess it would have to be before that.
 
Thanks to the Iron Banner, I've now finally made it to level 30! I only completed 4 normal raids but managed to pick up 3 gloves, 1 chest piece, but no boots. Just bought and upgraded the Iron Banner boots instead - they're very pretty! I might keep playing to get the IB gloves too as they look pretty cool.

Anyway, I'd be well up for trying the hard raid now at some point. Level 30, with maxed out VoC, Gjallarhorn and Light/Beware (void). Still need to max Praedyth's Revenge but the only time I tend to use it is if I'm in the bubble for Atheon (no Icebreaker unfortunately).
