*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Well done guys. Always takes a bit to get the pattern going but taking him down in only 5 warp cycles is good going

Look forward to doing it next week and getting some loot. It's all i'm going to do on the game for a while now but looking forward to new Raids in the future.
 
Once we figured the best way to take out the oracles and enemies it seemed quite easy...ish.

I'll be up for it again next week but I won't be on till gone 10.30 as I'm working afters.
 
Yes nice run tonight guys - I enjoyed it :) once we cracked the pattern it seemed to be fairly straight forward although that announcement of the rage timer panicked me a little :p
 
Anyone doing this tomorrow on the PS4? I might have my Titan to a useful level - hes 25 atm, but I still need to run him through the Queens stuff so I might hit 26. Ill be around from 7ish

Thanks for organizing and running the raid this weekend. Was good to get him down.

One tip I would suggest is to try and hit 28 for Aethon. It makes things so much more smooth. Went from 27 on the Sat Raid to 28 on Sun raid and the

1) Killing harpies became a breeze. They were a struggle at 27 to keep a side clear, but easy at 28
2) Felt a lot more resilient when facing Aethon/harpies... died a lot less
 
Anyone game for finishing off the raid tonight before the reset? I've got the checkpoint for Atheon!

I'm open to suggestions around times, but I'm thinking around 7 PM / 8 PM to kick it off. I roughly know what I'm doing!

Yeah them herpies (lol) things were well annoying at Level 27 - Either took three really good shots from my exotic handgun or half a clip from my uber auto rifle. Notice you were just doing your own thing breezing through them on the other side of the map lol!
gg's guys - probablyh up for another raid once the reset has taken place as I need more exotic gear - that handgun isn't very exciting!

If you don't mind someone joining who has never done it before then I'm game. I'll be someone who just concentrates on killing things. Level 27 Warlock :)
 
I can't join anything until after the reset now as I have an Open Uni exam tomorrow. I should have studied at the weekend for it instead of doing the Raid twice but whatever. lol

I have to prepare now though

But after the reset I'm game for another run any time - also might go for 2 more runs with my 2 characters at level 26 in the hope I get gear from the chests to bump them up to lvl 28. Then I can run it 3 times per week.

If nothing else, I'll get materials to fully upgrade all my weapons
 
That shader looks great though! I did the nightfall strike a few days ago, both the guys i was with got exotic armour. I got a legendary rocket launcher that i already had. Neither of the guys wanted the armour and wanted the launcher haha. Sucks that theres no trading :(

Heh. We did it yesterday, quite happy with the rewards. One Legendary Void Shotgun (just as he has to do the void damage bit for Thorn), other got 7 Shards and he needs to upgrade his armour, I got Gjallahorn, exotic Rocket Launcher which looks sweet.

Got a legendary cloak from the Raid yesterday too. Looks pretty damn epic.
