*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Anyone up for a poe 35 later tonight?? Really want to get one done if possible??

Probably start at around 9-ish tonight.

I've only got the one character so no potential Vision for me until the reset tomorrow Genchy :(
Happy to fill a slot tho if you need the numbers dude.

I'd be up for a PoE 35 at some point too, or even managing the 34 if you're not Trialsing Jay?
Ideally need one of each class with the 35 tho R0gue, so might need to sub me for a Warlock / Titan in your attempt.

We got to 8-0 then came across a few quality teams that ended our Lighthouse family times. However, glad to be pretty much getting to grips with that map now.

And I choked horribly and kept running in there to get the tags but just didn't quite the kills to turn it to our favour.

Got to Mercury on my 2nd ever Trials run, didn't see that coming. Thanks TehMoe and Corey for the run ^_^

Second run went 8-1, just went from decent luck to almost everyone running final round. Worst was a party of 3 all final round lagging there balls off. Destiny needs to sort this out and quick, it ruins an other wise great experience when your facing 3 others with red bar connections, I mean why even match make me against them.

We went 8-1 after doing well up to 8-0. Last match was one of those 'it can go either way' type affairs with crazy close quarters fighting.

Didn't get anything special bar completing my Warlock Trials armour. Mid_Gen got the Messenger.... (not angry... :p).

The highlight of the evening was the first match. The enemy team either quit out or got disconnected as we spawned and immediately won.. easy 3-0 right off the bat. :D

I suppose I should give trials a go at some point but if it's as laggy as normal crucible has been for the last few days then maybe not!

Trials is better than normal Crucible / IB as the matchmaking is connection based rather than skill based. There is still lag though.

Of course this can lead to a different kind of frustration when you are matched against a "top 1%" team.

Yeah there was only one game with real bad lag....I hesitate to call people cheaters but there was an occasion when the game froze for a second and then 2 of us instantly died from thorn headshots from the same guy....hmm.

The outcome of the passage wasn't decided by lag though, on the 8-0 game we got roundly thrashed by a couple of guys carrying (the other committed suicide at the start), last one was chaotic and could have easily gone either way.

Funny moment when it's just me and one of their guys left, both with heavy. I was trying to hit the guy with Gjalla horn without getting in his line of sight, the wolfpack rounds kept dragging his health down to virtually nothing but not quite finishing him off! Gah.

Yeha lag is better on trials, I would say. The occasional hiccup but for the most part it was fine. We did luck out a bit when a total try-hard team had 2 players booted (although I think we probably would have edged it based on the 1.5 rounds we played!).

Yeah sorry we just didn't quite make it to the Lighthouse, Jay. We can try again next week.

It was a good run last night, shame we couldn't make the 9-0 but we only got stomped one match so I'm sure we can do it. That was funny watching the wolfpack slowly injure the guy. Also the round where (I think) everyone used their super was so hectic.
