*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Well like every Friday night raid golgorath seems to have us beat. :)

Although it was good fun and certainly wkd5's warpriest strategy worked well.

Hopefully I managed to explain things well enough for people to follow. Certainly a different role for me in the raid.

hopefully we can get the raid completed over the weekend.

If the Wednesday raid group are completing from death singers over the weekend give me a shout.

Big thank you to all the guys who dragged me through my first ever Kings Fall raid last night (first ever raid full stop, despite playing from day one!).

So hats off to Zoomez, Turbo, Dredd, Hooded, AStaley and Cleetus for the patience, explaining the mechanics so clearly and pretty much carrying me through the whole thing. Got me hooked on raiding now, loved every minute of it (well, apart from the glitchiness on Oryx that screwed us over a few times).

Got some decent drops and now up to 304. Many, many thanks :D
 
Any noob raid runs going? I've just got back into destiny and fancy having a blast with the raid.

EDIT: Scrap that, i'm only 280 light :(

Mind u it was enjoyable at best of times. And thanks wkd5 for the tip on how to get past warpriest as it was getting to the point of severe frustration lol.

Golgoroth was always going to be a pan due to the fact we just weren't getting enough damage done on him. But I think by the time we got to him, we were all feeling a bit tired. I know I was as I had to get up early for work then coupled with the fact that it was getting late as well.

And ditto on the deathsingers but as with our original raid group we had got to that checkpoint. So gimp and co whenever you guys are ready to finish that raid off, send me an invite as I'll be free tonight and Sunday all day as well.

Intense session last night, guys! I woke up with a sore head today lol.
Huge thanks to Dave, Rogue, and uniQ for their perseverance in shepherding us noobs to Golgoroth :)
Hopefully I'll find the time to resume it on Sunday. I'd like to try the two-man method of gaze-running/taunting, as we just weren't getting enough time in the pit :-(

Ok looks like we are all good to go for HM next Saturday. I am going to deliberately not read any info about the changes before running it. :)

Anytime.

Considering what time we started we did well to get to golgorath.

The raid really is all about timing and there is a lot to take in for the first time so we did do well. It was also the first time I was on gaze duties last night so I need to look at a better way of getting his attention. He just seemed to refuse to turn his back to me which was frustrating and didn't help.

I think this raid is a lot more mechanical than the other raids and as frustrating as it is I do actually enjoy the challenge.

If we continue the raid on Sunday then it maybe worth having a look at some vids on the next parts as again there is a lot going on and is hitting the limits of what I know with the raid.

I have the check point for the oryx endfight on xb1 if anyone is interested, It's still my first time going through the raid and we had to stop playing it at midnight as I had work and some of the other guys had to log off too.
 
Real sorry guys but can you call on one of the subs for my spot please?

Our Rabbits have decided they hate each other and won't stop fighting (lots of blood... *yay*). I think I am going to start taking bets. Ding Ding round 12... :o
