*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

HM doesn't seem too bad at all. I was expecting we'd struggle at Golgoroth for a while, especially as we've only ever done single gaze strategy, but it still worked fine on HM. Got to Oryx without too much fuss but called it a night after about half an hour or so.

I think we all got gear above 310 light with one or two getting an item at 320. :)
 
Anyone around this morning to give a hand on "Echo of Oryx" quest mission? I'm grinding away solo and can't get him down past halfway... join on "yimpy" on Xbone if you're feeling awesome :)

A little bit more coordination and we would have got there a bit faster.

Was pretty good actually, managed to nail warpriest down pretty easily and golgoroth wasn't too bad either although I think we got rather lucky lol. Pleased with myself that the jumping piston bit, I managed to do without too much hassle.

Think by the time we got to deathsingers, we were all feeling a bit tired...I know I was but I think we got the mechanics pretty much nailed. It's just timing that we need to work on but I reckon we will do it next time round then it's off to Oryx which when I completed it earlier this week, was pretty easy considering.

Just send me a message when u guys are ready to finish the raid off, if I'm not online I'll log on.

Myself got a nice little haul ie some raid boots and a 300 solar machine gun along with mouldering shard as per usual and tons of wormspore lol.

It's pretty easy now especially if your 300+. Not that hard if your 290+ either but it is slightly trickier

As I said last night happy to continue Monday evening if that's ok with everyone? (if people can confirm that would be great otherwise if some of the guys who have completed the raid can give us a hand to finish it that would be awesome)

I did try to do the daughters later with some of my US friends and almost did it but I messed up the jump on the right daughter when we had her down to almost no health and by that point 3am or so people just dropped out so we did the VOG run (most of it 4 person - although it was on easy) purely for FWC quest continuation and then did some crucible afterwards and played with someone who went 26-0 in a round of clash :eek:

Yeh should be fine for Mon night, missus is taking me out for the day to celebrate my bday therefore giving me the evening off to play with u lot.

Hoping I get the raid scout rifle and a few other bits and bobs, more raid armour and weapons will do me fine.
 
In the middle of HM...at warpriest for 45 mins, nearly got it sorted. Tip of the day, two titans ;)

Zero drops so far though :'( One guy got a 317 shell at totems

switch to full agility and put on a +2 agility weapon at the jumping puzzles and your sorted.

rest of the raid run full armor and recovery.

i'll grab a bunch off reddit.

Greeboth just ran me through it now. No decent rewards but I actually enjoyed the raid.

last night we got him down to like 1% with no titans before some guy had to leave on 1 run and down to like 5% on 3 other attempts.

with 1 titan we could have killed him 4 times over.

we were doing like 45% damage with 1 red ring. with 1 bubble bro you could drop the warpriest with 2 rings pretty easily.

it's just that stupid stuff kept happening or middle kept on getting over run. it's easy just that you need a decent team. i never died early once, most of the team was really good i think we had 1 or 2 slackers pulling us all down. basically nobody can really die as it then puts too much pressure on others.

problem was we had too many hunters. i think 5 hunters and a warlock. self-res is much more important when under levelled in hard mode.

so the pro tip from me would be black spindle or sleeper simulant with 1-2 hunters tethering him and 1 bubble bro with weapons of light.
