I just need the raid boots to hit level 30, which hopefully I'll get after two normal runs on both my titans.

Yep, and if I use the armamentarium chest piece, that gives even more heavy ammo
Going to try and get the void damage 77 Wizard from the Crucible weapon man too.
I've been meaning to go for that for a while but I can't bring myself to play Crucible on my own lol. Still not even rank 2 as I've been levelling up other factions.
Got my Warlock to 27 now so I can do more raids. Might also have a go on Hard with my main.

Depends on the level you are playing them at. If you are level 25 you shouldn't have any trouble with lvl22/24 weekly / daily. The nightfall will be beyond you I would think.
If you are struggling or want to be able to do the harder one (lvl28) then team up with some lvl28/29 players otherwise you will find them really hard.
Destiny has a bit of a weird system with random players being around you until you actually start to do something "personal" such as a mission. They will suddenly disappear into their own "world". If you want people to help you with the daily and weekly you need to get them in your fire team.

I'm up for it again, although a bit limited this week on time. Busy on weds/thurs/fri evenings and not sure what time till. Happy to miss this round if it conflicts.

I see now why most hard raid groups insist on level 30 only. By having a team almost full of 29s, you just hamper yourself too much. If your team has 5 level 29s, you are almost down 2 men during the atheon phase when attempting to take him down.
I'm going to keep doing the normal mode raid and hope to pick up some more raid armror, and maybe get a piece of level 30 armor from the new iron banner event to fill any gaps.
Yes it won't be my ideal loadout, but I'll be level 30 and then able to repeat the raid on hard a lot easier.
I honestly don't think the rewards are worth the effort required when you have 5 level 29s on your team. Especially considering the last 2 times I've cheesed him from a checkpoint I got nothing that was hard mode specific. How gutted will you be if after a week of playing and 15 + hours, you too get nothing ?

I tested it on being transported back to the venus world. 5 goes with the relic smash attack to take out the minotaur.
I can do it in 2 on normal mode.
Being able to do it without cheese will be so much easier when you can be guaranteed to have a team full of level 30s go into the past worlds.

Sorry I never saw this when you posted so missed your help. Sorry about that but I've added you to the list
Come back to me when you are 29 - also with Hunters you'll find it hard getting involved in hard raids unless you are a Gunslinger - I've known PUGs to avoid recruiting Hunters full atop...
Added - though as you said that interested list is long enough to build a second hard raid team. I'd happily join in too if I'm available but I'd rather not organise it!

I try to have at least half of the people as level 30s for the same reasons - the problem we have is thats its hard to luck into level 30 and hard raid is a good way to do it, but once people are 30 and have the hard raid specific items theres little there to keep them trying it when the normal raid will do for drops - so those up-and-coming level 29s have to be utilised to make up numbers.
Most interesting thing I notice is people get very complacent when over-levelled on the normal raid that when they try hard raid (or the normal with a 26 alt) they seem to forget the naunces or plainly haven't understood them...
A raid experienced level 29 is very useful, but experience isnt just the number of raids you've completed
