LOL! - Glad to 'take one for the team' guys lol. Need to sort my comms settings out as I can hardly hear you guys talking when I'm blasting aliens (to die 2 seconds later in a pile of shame :) ).

That last Atheon bit was well bugged - coupled with the disconnection issue we had (*shakes fist @ bungie*) its why it took us a bit getting there.

Well played though fellas, had a really good night (once the missus left muhahaha) - I look forward to next week's run, which will be more streamlined and less buggy we hope - will arrange around tuesday / reset time., thanks guys.

Joined several different random groups today at the Atheon checkpoint on hard just to try my luck, each group failed badly due to the various bugs. Might try again tonight, whilst its only the Atheon checkpoint and I wont get my boots, I might get something else nice.

Doesnt seem worth joining a checkpoint at the Oracles as 29s seem to get slaughtered :eek:
 
Ugh, trying to get the confluxes done on hard with my hunter with random groups and it just can't be done. I'm not even dieing(which is surprising as i'm playing a hunter) but I just can't carry the team. This is usually so easy when I do it in my normal groups. The worst part is the team has the potential to do it, but either someone has to leave or they just give up.

Ive been trying Atheon on hard throughout the day - 4 different random groups from LFG, despite a mix of 29/30s they were either; inpatient and left after a few wipes, stupid enough not be using maxed weapons or just plain idiots falling off edges after a few good rounds etc. Infuriating when you get groups like that.

I'm trying again after X-Factor (missus!) and instead of Atheon am going to try a fresh hard run, if only to get the first two rewards in the hope of these damn boots I need.
 
Whats your opinion on ratio of 29 to 30s for hard? Starting to think its just not possible and need to just suck it up and play once per week on normal.

I know I could roll another Warlock but not sure if levelling up a 3rd character would tip me over the edge and sicken me of Destiny.

50/50, anything less and you better be trying to cheese him. I'm not saying it cant be done with a team of 29's but they would have to be very switched on and lucky to pull it off

Cheers, I would be up for making a hard group but I don't have anyone to fill the other spaces, i'm assuming hutchy is game for it. I don't even expect to kill Atheon tbh, I just want to get the oracle and Templar loot

50/50 is about right just for the simple fact you will have a decent chance of a level 30 being teleported so he can do relic duty because as a level 29 you're dealing 30-33% less damage and taking more damage as well. For me personally I would say 4 30's minimum just so you can have 2 30's picking up the slack for each 29 in the group, this way you've got a really good chance of beating hard in a reasonable time.
 
Im up for it lads - why dont the 3 of us make a fireteam and advertise for 3x30 on destinylfg/reddit? (Presuming no more ocuk/friends have interest)

Im the same rabbit, oracle and templar will do me just fine

Will be online at 9.45pm after this garbage on TV.

I'm up for any future hard raids. I need one more shard to reach level 30 so after tomorrow's daily (or after the first lot chest on raid if i get shards).

Can't play tonight though but up for all future hard raids.

Alright, i'll continue to farm until then. I'm getting low on spinmetal so I may as well do something semi productive with my time.
