*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

A few of the lads got boots and gauntlets I think. Though mostly energy/shards. I got P_____ Time or whatever, the arc pulse rifle.

I had a blast with the relic. The highlight for me was rabbit or jack asking the American (who was playing Eminem through the mic) "do you have any Elton John or perhaps Enya? Lol that brought tears to my eyes.
 
So our xbox group finally did the entire raid from beginning to end on hard. It took 2 nights but we did it. The confluxes are hard but we just pulled it off after not giving up. We struggled with the gate keepers, but again kept at it and pulled through. We gave Atheon a go Friday night but had to give up as it was nearing 1:15am

Saturday night we continued with Atheon and would have killed him three times over were it not for the bugs. The number of times our third successive run failed due to either the oracles bugging out or the shield bugging out or the portals not working was unreal.

They seriously better not have these sorts of bugs in the new raid.

Dr pharmacology I still have the hard Atheon checkpoint on another character so will happily help you finish today / tomorrow if we can get a group together ?

I didn't even think the Atheon fight was that hard but the bugs were infuriating. Still, we did it so I'm pleased but I'll also help do it again with DP on my other character if needed.

Some things I noticed last night.

If inside, make sure the non relic holders throw grenades or fire rockets at the ADs before the Oracles start spawning to help the relic holder.

If outside, keep the supplicants away from the portal so the relic party has a clear exit.

After exiting the portal and everyone goes to the central platform to fire at Atheon the relic holder should be first on it because if Atheon is already firing at the platform when the relic holder lands on it they often die, resulting in a wipe unless they're a Warlock with self res.

Everyone behind the relic holder's shield needs to start leaving the central platform with 4-5 seconds of Time's Vengeance left and the relic holder should be last to leave to try and avoid being detained mid-jump while jumping off the platform which kills you. Not sure if this is intentional or a bug.
 
Do you think theyll fix the Atheon bugs? Kinda puts me off raiding as its the only bit that causes a major issue which cant be fixed with skill/experience. Like to try and do that raid without dying trophy but kinda pointless with how the game is at the moment...

Once I get a Titan helm I dont think Ill be doing much hard raiding - only really missing the fatebringer and the raid fusion rifle (something foil) from that difficultly - I presume the Exotic drop table is unaffected by difficultly (other than the mytoclast)

Just finishef off hard mode with some randoms - I now have a second Mythoclast and s second Warlock helmet.

Deciding whether to do another character; duplicate warlock for raid sharing or a Huntet so I have all 3 classes?
 
I need to start doing hard mode now I'm level 30. Just did normal mode with some randomers and got plan c exotic fusion rifle.

Need to start trying to build up a collection of weapons now.
