Think we are all confirmed up again other than Dredd, Hutchy....

We've got two Level 30 players (not sure about you though Hutchy, you Level 30 yet? - can't remember if you got the booties you needed ) - If we can get that third it will make Hard mode so much easier!

I'm spending this week levelling up my Raid scout rifle - it'll come in handy on hard mode (paired with zee breaker of ice)

Still no boots so stuck on 29. However I completed hard mode today with 3x29 and 3x30 so that was reassuring.

Fingers crossed for boots on Fri! :(

Once I get a Titan helm I dont think Ill be doing much hard raiding - only really missing the fatebringer and the raid fusion rifle (something foil) from that difficultly - I presume the Exotic drop table is unaffected by difficultly (other than the mytoclast)

As frodders said, the glitches were damn brutal. We'd have done atheon on night one if it hadnt glitched as he was almost dead. Sadly glitch mania and tiredness took over and we never got near for the rest of that night. Got a lucky (mostly glitchless) run the next night though and utterly stomped him. I dont think they'll bother to be fair, so many bugs in the game that have been happening since launch and with the new dlc out soon i reckon they'll hope people play that instead.

Also, the fatwbringer and praetorian foil are by far the best drops from the raid. Myhtoclast got killed when they nerfed it but the foil is a lovely gun. 2 shots to take an oracle out solo on hard mode and i still havent unlocked the final damage upgrade for it. Fatebringer i havent started with properly yet but the few mins playing i have had it seems very good so far. Got 2 fatebringers now and only done the templar 5-6 times so a pretty good drop rate. I'd recommend holding out for them.
 
I ran through the raid on hard tonight with some randoms and we got to Atheon, but couldn't down him before a couple of the team had to leave. If anyone wants to try to finish him off with me tomorrow evening, on PS4, gimme a shout. Would be nice to finish him off once more before the reset.

Both bud - that way we get the guaranteed drops from the Normal mode, - it shouldn't take us as long as last time as atheon shouldn't glitch as much and the game has stabilised now (think we had four drop outs last time?).

After which we can crack on with hard mode - We really need that extra Level 30 character for hard mode.

I'd be up for that, level 29 Titan. I have never beaten Atheon on hard before, outside of the supplicant level differences and being detained after timestream is there any other diffierences? I'm sure my brother would also be interested, he's on here and also has a level 29 Titan.

Yes, that ****ing level 30 minotaur inside the "venus" world who has the ability to "resurrect himself". (i'm being sarcastic here as he's bugged)

Try and take him down with the relic as a level 29 and you're doing 33 % less damage to him than a level 30 would do. It takes 5 smash attacks with the relic to take him down. Assuming you can last long enough to hit him that many times.

That's your biggest problem doing hard. Most successful atheon defeats will consist largely of runs into the "mars" portal

That Minotaur even hits hard on normal he's a nightmare -_- We usually get the other 2 who don't have the relic to throw grenades at him, relic holder dive bombs him and shield bashes until he's dead.
 
if you're above level 28 he's not too much trouble on normal. two goes with the shield smash attack and he's either dead or inches from death.

I resorted to doing jumping attacks (RT) with the relic on Venus portal. It appears to take 3 hits this way (less if hit by rockets or grenades first) and even though it takes a little longer overall it also helps avoid being hit by it.

He is much easier to kill if a Titan can stick him with a void grenade. If you nail him he will crouch down more often than not.

The titan stun grenades will also stop him from teleporting, they stop the hobgoblins from using their panic shield thing too. The flash bangs might do similar but I'm not sure, I know they blind everything which is cool too!

This also works wonders during the gatekeeper section while holding the portals.

I've just started a 3rd character - another warlock so I can share Raid loot and double my chances of those footwear items that shall remain unspoken!

I'm at level 9 so far, ughhhh :(
