Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Square Enix Reveal new Deus Ex)

Folks what kind of stuff can we expect with the dlc pass? Is it really worth the extra 20 quid?

What dlc stuff was there for deus ex the oriiginal?

Did it say when you get that stuff? Is that....... day one DLC?

They did a screwup some months back offerning different free dlc's in a kind of tier system (if i remember it rightly) and got a ton of flak for it so they cancelled this system and decided to just give all the dlc free to everyone. which is how it should have been in the 1st place :)

Heres a vid about it.

Ah so thats what it was all about. Saw some complaints about it.

Yeah, I followed that. What I was asking was if that season pass content is going to be available on day 1.

When DX12 hits (hopefully only a few weeks after launch like they said) I can see pretty decent performance improvements coming, especially on AMD.

Yeah, let's hope so. I believe they said the DX12 update would arrive sometime during the week beginning 5th September.

It is surprising hearing they are having optimisation issues and DX12 not being ready on release. The game was delayed 6 months... I guess they spent a lot of it optimising for the consoles :(

What's the point of benchmarking SLI 1080 on 1080p?

probably wanted to show how "unoptimized" game is on ultra :D still baffles me why new game suddenly should be playable on ultra?
meanwhile all players will be playing it on High with no visual loss on steady 60+ fps
i guess i just ignore performance posts

I agree, people have short memories and have completely forgotten about games like Crysis that were unplayable on max settings. They would have moved within freesync/gsync range at 1440p, it's utterly pointless to do that at 1080p.

I will no doubt play it on high (1440), then maybe on a second play through a lot later I'll be able to use DX12 and optimised drivers for ultra!

I agree, but it is good that questions are asked when games don't perform greatly, especially when you get games that run and look better. The Witcher 3, Metal Gear, GTA for example all look stunning and run very well on a range of hardware. It isn't particularly unreasonable to wonder why you can play a much better looking game on ultra but not this one tbh(and this is from someone who never really gets in to performance debates:p)

Personally I'm not worried about performance anyway, as I said earlier my expectations will be adjusted based on how I play, which will be slowly sneaking around so I will be happy with a baseline of around 40fps.

I am hoping I can get away with 1440 on my 390X but I am not convinced.

Have decided after reading the pre-reviews a couple of pages ago, this isn't going to be a Day 1 purchase for me, unfortunately. Not paying £30 - £40 for something which suddenly rushes towards an abrupt ending. Although that does kind of mirror HR a little as I always felt once you left Hengsha the second time you were channelled on rails a bit with very linear/closed environments and not much of the way of side missions. Panachea epitomised this where apart from the zombies and the rumble at the end it all felt a bit empty, like.
