Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Square Enix Reveal new Deus Ex)

Is this dlc free for people who already bought the game or is it extra?

For people with season pass.

I pre-ordered the digital deluxe version of the game so got everything. Never again though with Square Enix, they proper let me down with how they have handle this franchise.

Spent the day playing the final DLC.

It really adds nothing to the storyline of the base game, though at least it doesn't seem like it was just cut from the game like the Desperate Measures mission. I liked that it has a 'Factory Zero' type achievement though (Like the Missing Link DLC from Human Revolution) but it still seemed easier than that ever was.

System Rift was the best DLC IMO.

I cant believe this is being shelved, its the best scifi game i've played in a long time. Just left the first prague bit, I'm trying to take my time over the game because I dont want it to end

I've only played through once, got the carpiest ending and really couldn't motivate myself to go through again, let alone buy DLC. Contrast that with HR which I've probably played at least half a dozen times using different approaches.

Instead of pouting Squeenix should be addressing the feedback and using that to craft the next game into something more akin to HR, not threatening to effectively cancel the franchise. I'm in agreement with others that comic book adaptations are of little interested, the MSM and movies are saturated with this stuff already.

I agree, it's a great franchise. I've played the original, HR, & even Invisible War over and over again. Haven't tried MD yet but sounds like they forget the compelling indepth plot bit & instead of fixing it have just been adding alternative missions? #Shame

Still need to play this, I was having trouble with framerate/times when it launched so I left it for a while, I tried it the other day and DX12 seems to run a lot better. I'll see if I can tear myself away from Cities Skylines.

Yeah, the plot and story was relatively weak. But it seems that way because we are comparing it to Deus Ex. Compared with other games, it is no worse really.

It seems even people who enjoyed the franchise like yourself and Rasseru did not buy the game day one due to bad reviews. They lost out on lots of day one full price sales which lead to the shelving.

Yeah me too I like the small open world area's to explore and enjoy breaking into apartments and reading peoples emails haha. Side quests I'm enjoying as well.

Completed the Criminal Past DLC. It was not bad, I somewhat enjoyed it. Just not Deus Ex enough for me however.

Overall I would say getting the digital deluxe version of the game which came with the season pass was not worth it for me. Even more so knowing I did it to show support for one my favourite franchises and in return they shelved it.

I dont know, it started a bit fast for me but since the first area ive been piecing it together from the side missions/reading emails. (which has been so much more interesting in deus ex than other games)

Not me, I have been away from gaming for years, recently came back to it, new pc, and have been ploughing through so many good games. missed out on both newer deus exs, playing them backwards. I havent played things like the witcher yet either.

I just cant believe they would can or badly review a game as good as this. Human revolution must be amazing for this to leave a sore taste in peoples mouths

HR was overall a better experience for me due to a better story. But in most other ways MD is better. Problem is, take a good story away from Deus Ex and it is no longer Deus Ex, to me anyway. Like the latest DLC for example.

Over the years I know for a fact I will be play Invisible War a lot more than Mankind Divided. At most I can see myself playing MD once more in the future, if that.

HR had a good story even if some of it was rehashing themes from the original with different wallpaper personally (and a fair few people I've talked to have said similar) I found HR more accessible and also pulled me in more from the start - MD kind of starts in an intermediate state and you feel a bit alienated from what is going on as it isn't either a new start or a direct continuation of where you finished HR.

What are the recommendations for settings now then since the game has been patched/improved? i.e. what big performance hitters can be turned down with little impact to IQ? PC is in sig, if that helps.
