**DGM 27" LED IPS 2560x1440 ONLY £319.99 Inc. VAT (PRE-ORDER PRICE ONLY)!!**

The A- panels are considerably cheaper than A+ panels. The A- panels in the Korean monitors are sold for around $80 a piece. From what I have found the A+ panels are at least four times this much and hence why the apple and Dell screens cost considerably more.
If the DGM has an A+ panel it will be a stunning deal as the panels alone will cost more than the complete screen. I would bet these will use the same A- panels as found in the Hazro and Korean screens as otherwise there would be no profit in releasing them so cheap.

I'm only going on info I have found by searching and from the Korean sellers so this could all be wrong.

They don't cost that much more if you an LG partner business (not sure if DGM are, Dell certainly are). The difference in price is probably more dramatic if you are trying to source them as an individual. The cost difference for manufactuers is nowhere near enough to reflect the difference in price that we see between the likes of the Korean monitors and the Dell U2711. Let's not forget that the Dell has a large heavy duty stand, is backed by a Premium Panel Guarantee from one of the best manufactuers in the business, has a fully featured OSD and WCG-CCFL backlight providing an extended colour gamut. There is an awful lot more to monitors than just a panel.

Plus of course as with everything at least part of the expense is that you are paying for the brand. Doubly so with Apple!

Order placed so could anyone please confirm whether the cable that comes with the monitor(?) is fine for the resolution it supports and my GTX 670....?

What cable(s) does it come with?

I can't see any listed in the spec.

You'll be needing a dual link DVI cable or a DisplayPort cable for 2450x1440.

I assume your GTX 670 has both of those connections.

If it isn't supplied with either of those then you'll need one.

I hope I've not made a mistake here as I've got an iiyama e2773 which I like, I've bought the disaster of the LG 27" 3d scrap which I given my son. I loved my 24" dgm so hopefully this will be far better :)

There is plenty more processing beyond scaling that a monitor can do to increase input lag. Also the pixel responses are all part of this and a fairly significant one on an IPS panels. Hopefully input lag on this model is comparable to the Hazro HZ30WC though.

A+ WQHD panels are not massively expensive in comparison to other grades, the monitors that use them often are for other reasons. And if this model has no scaler then you can't use it with an Xbox. The HDMI cable can't carry a signal that the Xbox's internal scaler can work with.

That is true, but the input lag values on the barebone korean models are super, I'm hoping this one is similar.

So, if HDMI can only support 1080p, what's the use of including one with this monitor if it has no scaling?

Ordered two anyway just because I don't want to regret missing out. Gonna give em a try.

Very very tempted to get one (or two), to accompany my u2711. I have my hyundai 241D monitor stand which i might dismantle and use for swivel/pivot functionality of its stand with this (i assume it will work as it looks like its vesa mountable 10cm x 10cm).

Decisions decisions!

Wait... what, these displays dont come with a duel link DVI-D cable? Hope your wrong as I wont be able to use mine when it comes. I would need a 2m at least.

[EDIT]
Just received mine and it came with DVI-D Cable, VGA cable, power cable and audio cable.
[/EDIT]

Sorry folks, I was just going by what I was told when I spoke to the sales guy on the phone, he even went away to check. :(

If you can cancel your cable order.

can displayport not do 2560x1440?

It did on my Dell while I had it, but then this monitor doesn't come with any monitor cables, so you would have to buy a display port cable @ £5.99 as an alternative. But good point I'll add it to the list. :)

I am interested in this screen too especially if the it has a low input lag like the Hazro HZ27WC has and
the screen quality, colors etc is just as good as the Hazro HZ27WC.

Does this screen support HDCP?

I bought a Hazro HZ27WC when they came available at OcUK but sent it back for a refund due to me
not being happy with it because it did not support HDCP even though it was advertised on OcUK at
that time as having support for HDCP and windows software screen scaling didn't work properly with
the Hazro HZ27WC and some NVIDIA Graphics Cards which ment a lot of games and software had a
small screen with big back bars all around.

Hopefully TFT Central will have a review of this screen soon comparing it to the Hazro models and etc.
