Improved XP also?

I think the problem here is that pushing NM dungeons is a pinnacle activity so the xp from mobs is irrelevant at the cap. However it makes it feel pointless to do anything >3 levels above you at less than max level as there is no real incentive other than bragging rights. At least with the paragon system in D3 (or the gem system in PoE) there is a reason to grind exp even at the level cap. With Glyph exp being linked to dungeon completion the two systems are disconnected.

I personally look forward to their being a shortcut to the run, if its a portal that opens then you have the choice as to whether to run or not so anyone who wants to keep that immersion can do so if they wish.

Now that I've finished the story and the epilogue, do I just get straight to capstone dungeon to unlock wt3?

Could some of you diablo veterens point me towards the order of things to do now please? Thx in advance.

After I finished the story mode I started doing the renowned stuff.

Started with alters then map discovery currently on to quests and dungeons.

Get enough gear to then unlock WT3

Thanks.

Ive done all the renown in each area up to lvl3 tier, got all the alters etc. I thought the idea was to get up a WT as soon as possible after the story to get better XP and loot.

When it comes to the renown you want to max out the area locations and lilith statues first as those carry over to future seasons.

If your around level 45 ish you could attemp the capstone if your build is strong, sooner you can get into WT3 the better as more content will open up to you then. You can then do what ever you want to progress towards WT4, which again depending on build you could attempt as early as 62 ish, but you may have to wait to mid 60s if your gear isn't optimal.

Just completed the campaign. The last 2 or so hours was the most memorable bit of gaming I have ever done. The cut scenes were insane. At this point it felt completely different to the first 40 odd hours I played. Like someone else did the development for the ending.

The ending to the story is such a drag, feels like halo 2's cliffhanger ending

Obviously there are expansions coming, the ending makes it so obvious

The end game still feels weak to me. In diablo immortal we still had goals at the end game - at the end of the game was 10 man raid boss dungeons to complete and they were very hard unless you leveled way up and they released new bosses and dungeons and very couple weeks. Diablo 4 doesn't have this, I feel like I have no content reason to get to 100

What Blizzard should have done is kept the level cap at 50 and had a level 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100 world boss and then every week or two they increase the level cap so you can get the gear needed to take on the next boss. But they can't do this now because of the stupid scaling system they introduced into the game and now the only way to artificially create a reason to keep playing to remove your progression

Yes that's right, in Season 1 blizzard will reset your reknown and make you start a new character to get your reknown back and be able to participate in the season pass

I think the renown will carry over now to seasons now. Seasons seems like a gimmick that appeals to a niche playerbase. If they wanted this game to kick on from d3 then they should have released proper expansions often.

I was on the fence about getting this now I've read that don't think I'll bother

Where are the world bosses?! I’ve hit maybe 20 hours played since switching to WT3 and never seen one come up on the map - are they really rare or something?

They spawn roughly every 6 hours in one of 3 different spots on the map, there are quite a few trackers that will give you warning when they are next due, eg the d4armory discord sends you notifications 30 mins before they are due to spawn.

Personally, I'm pleased this game is nothing like Diablo Immortal :)
Never thought I’d see the day where diablo immoral was held above any other game let alone d4…

Even less that someone else would base their decision on buying the game on that persons opinion
