** Diablo 4 Thread **

I'm enjoying the beta so I've pre-ordered the extra large version, £90 most expensive game by far that I've ever bought.

The Diablo franchise in general is one I've put a lot of time into, with D2/D3 in particular, so I'm sure I'll get my moneys worth, and I'll just have to look at it in the view that the higher than usual expense means that I'm paying for some of the additional future development.

I'd like the cosmetics you get for doing the open beta content, is there any way I can confirm I've unlocked the beta pack stuff?

Sorc is a lot of fun, I'm going to try out Barb probably next. Looking forward to doing Necro next week. I'll probably start out with Necro or Sorc in the main game official launch.

There are 2 achievements for them in game, I think it’s under feats of strength. One for getting to the town and the other for dinging level 20.

I've not seen any ingame way to verify it but one of the devs did re-confirm yesterday that if you got a character to lvl20 then you will get the rewards at release, so hopefully my 20 Barbarian has secured those for me :)

Fingers crossed this has a great endgame, i wont be getting it until 6 months after release when a lot of the teathing problems are sorted. I remember d3 being a nightmare when it first came out altho i did make a few £ from the auction house :D

Very enjoyable, and much better experiance trying to play yesterday and today. Managed to get to level 25. The only boss I haven't been able to kill yet is the butcher. He creamed me when I was setup as a ice bolt/chain lighting setup. Found him again as ice bolt/hydra and failed again with 10% of his health left. Very happy with the amount of legendary items that seem to drop. Seems much more available to general players this time around.

You gotta remember though legendary items are basically nothing more than a rare with a fancy mod.

Unique items which are available from level 50 onwards will be truely build defining and alter the gameplay of a class potentially by a significant margin.

Enjoying this more than I thought! Anyone able to confirm when the beta ends? Seen conflicting dates

7pm tomorrow.

Is anyone playing a Barbarian? is so how can you swap weapons? Last night I had all weapons equipped and I was using 2 1 handers, tonight I logged in and it's using the 2H axe. Not sure what has changed.

This one is 7pm tomorrow, then there is the open beta next weekend, though I imagine there will be server issues on that weekend as the feedback on D4 has been pretty good, both from players and streamers, so I'm expecting a lot of players who were maybe sitting on the fence until player feedback from this weekend might now take that extra bit of interest next weekend. Servers will get hammered

On PC, open the skills window (A) and then middle click on the skill on your hotbar. It shows you there which weapon it's using. Default is set to auto-select the highest dps.

As Cantankerous has said above, its set up to use the highest dps weapon by default, however if there is a particular weapon you want to use for a skill (like in my case I wanted to use dual wield on my Flay Barbarian instead of a 2 hander) you can set the skill to use that under the Skill Assignments in your character window. I think a lot of people dont realise you can pick which weapon a skill uses, its not really explained.

Thanks guys that was driving me mad.

I've levelled 3 characters now, the Barbarian is fun but it needs a buff compared to the DPS on the other classes.

Can't wait for full release now. I assume with the Ultimate edition you'll be able to play from approx 2nd ?
