** Diablo 4 Thread **

Why are people even comparing classes and builds when it's all junk until endgame multi gear set bonuses and builds? Have they changed things that drastically to alter this?

I got necro to 25 last night, felt a bit chaotic compared to my frost sorc hydra build as even though I had 7 skellies and 5 mages in my army, they would all just attack whatever they felt like.

When butcher showed up it became a struggle to kill him because he's capable of killing my summons and you can't really stop to summon more.

So far think I prefer the sorc feels more controlled, though hydra was pretty strong and it may get nerfed. I also had some of the same issues with the summons as I had with d2 necro, if they die you're kind of helpless to do much.
Once you start coming across one or two specific elites/bosses you need to change things up skills wise and with your Book of the Dead. I ran into a similar situation with Malrok ( stronghold area boss ), but once I changed my minions to skeletal defenders, changed their ability to thorns and optimised my character's thorns ( with a skill and gear ) then nothing could stand in my way. Damage does drop off a bit with Necromancer by lvl 25 but it's still easy mode compared to most other classes and isn't gear dependent ( I had crap gear, and the legendaries I found had unhelpful aspects ).

Like some people if a game doesn't interest me, hook me or keep me intrigued early on, I won't stick around to the later levels. So if a class sucks early on, whats to say it doesn't suck later on also. I'm not about to sink 30-40 hours into it to find out.

One of if not the only good thing about ADHD, I can't waste my time with bullsheet games.

I'm sure this game will have power leveling just like the last one did. Just get boosted to max level and then try out all the builds you want

Ahh interesting, so you can play a necro with no pets? Thats perked my interest in the class then
Yes, in the Book of the Dead ( which you get at lvl 5 ) you can choose to "sacrifice" your minions to gains perks for your character eg. increased crit hit chance. I haven't tried a non-minion build yet but it does look feasible using thorns ( similar to Barbarian ) and Blood Mist.

managed about 10 minutes play in-between about 20 crashes due to memory errors. Hope they fix this.. at the moment its unplayable
