** Diablo 4 Thread **

Pet classes annoy the bejesus out of me, its even worse in some arpgs where the character can have dozens of minions. I dont even like grouping with people playing pet classes because of all the damn things all over the screen, why some game company hasnt yet developed an arpg where I can select not to be able to see other peoples minions on the screen I dont know. I dont need to see all their annoying pets everywhere, let me toggle them off.
I think that would definitely help. Maybe feed it back as part of the beta?

Giving the open beta a go to see if I'll get at at / before release. Note sure at the moment...

Trying Necromancer with Decompose as main "attack" talent and then Hewed Flesh as supporting skill for corpses leading into Corpse explosion. Only level 9 so far but AOE explosions set off a ripple of BOOM!

It does seem very "clunky" though, not smooth at all. Note sure if my PC struggling / Beta overloading issues or it's jsut like this.... It's a bit annoying

I would crank the graphics down to medium, the game is currently a resource hog and chews through memory like crazy. On my rig it was using 21GB memory and all 8GB on the GPU at high settings, and that resulted in loads of fps issues and stuttering. At medium its butter smooth outside of lag.

Thanks - that did help :)

I've been playing Druid all day. Feels a little better than Barbarian but still very weak compared to the Sorcerer, which is basically easy mode. Tried a few different builds now. The pets are bloody useless.
What are the chances the classes will be amended for balance in time for release in June?
Trying the Necro after dinner but it's not really a class which excites me and from reading a few comments here, looks like it's op.

Nice, thanks for confirming that.
It then comes down to trusting Blizzard to make suitable changes. I have my doubts ... they can be tone deaf. Take last week, for example, when a journalist gave feedback in an interview with some of the Blizzard heriarchy about players complaining about dungeon design and having to backtrack long distances to reach objectives. Their response : we'll make the monsters respawn.

Of course. I'm sure there will be several changes before it feels right. I just don't want to order the game knowing it'll be a pain in the rear to level my preferred class. Maybe it'll be a pain for every class on release

Has anyone had issues with the game stuttering? Seems like they have removed fullscreen option and just leave you with windowed fullscreen or windowed.

Never had the stuttering last weekend and had the fullscreen option. Can see there was an update to remove fullsdreen due to the game crashing

Currently for a necro to level 16 and finished act 1. Sorc is 25 and also completed act 1 and enjoying it so far

I had until I turned the texture downs to medium. It's crazy how much RAM this game eats.

Without faith, I'd probably never buy any game again in my life :)

Just tried a non-minion Necro and its entirely viable, so thats good. Was going to max each character at release, except the Necro due to hating pet classes, but now that I know the Necro is viable without having to use summons now I will do that one too :)

Minions will be safer playing hardcore ;)

Our group will die many dozens of times, we relish those death moments and its infinitely more preferable than having a bunch of annoying, crappy, utterly UNNECESSARY minion mobs on my screen :D
And what happens if one of your group decides to play a necromancer ( with minions ) ? :p
