** Diablo 4 Thread **

played with iron man again who basically carried myself and 2 other guys through a hell tide and a world boss, i just follow him about and hit stuff lol

got loads of loot i need to sort through and was awesome fun again :)

Just started this recently, im a level 11 rogue, world tier 1 at the moment, had a go at tier 2 and died once, wondering when is a good time to up the challenge, but enjoying it so far, nice amount of side quests, any good abilities to get, theres a fair amount

If you want to level fast stick to world tier 1 until your near 50 so you can do the cap stone dungeon to unlock WT3, which can only be done on wt2.

You'll want to finish the campaign and have found all statues and uncovered the map in all areas by the 18th if you wish to start a seasonal character on the 20th as you will then be able to skip the campaign completely.

Doing all the Lillath Statues before season 1 starts - supposed to be getting a boost to start the season. It's a grind indeed

Was one of the first things i did before hitting 50, wasn't too bad. I'm on the last 2 renown completions for 2 areas now and that will be the whole map sorted. Should be a nice boost when i unlock those last 8 paragon points. Means grinding out some dungeons though and doing a few side quests here and there to get there.

Haven't touched the game in 2 days now, need a break from it before i burn myself out which i feel like a lot of people are doing.

Thats it boys, pack it up and play something else. Blizzard doesn't want you

Dungeons are so unfun it's crazy. Goblins are almost non-existent, pylons are very very sparse, every dungeon is just copy paste "task > gauntlet room> task > boss" and the loot drops at the end are massively disappointing.

At least open world content is fun and feels more rewarding.

it is rather dull for me now. 74 sorc and just struggling to get any fun out of it. Dungeons are cut and paste, no thought into any mechanics. need to offer a challenge? just throw hordes of mobs with "damage limitation" and "enhanced health" at you. I cant remember the last time i died, its just a time sink and no challenge at all for next to no rewards. I got a greater leg box off the whispering tree the other day, it had 1 pair of junk legs in it and 3 bits of jewellery, all junk! So yeah, i think they're right. Time to move on to something else.

Hi folks, got a conundrum about my gear. I am a WW Barb. So I've been using my main 2-hand slash weapon now for many many levels. This morning I got a drop that seemed like it was going to be an upgrade due to it having 67.5% vulnerable dmg (a stat my current weapon does not have) and 9% more crit strike dmg compared to my current weapon, but it has 16.5% less core skill dmg and 113 less dps. Equiping said weapon drops my attack power by 450 (kinda expected as its a little lower dps) but what is unexpected is I actually lose 38.8% core skill dmg (confusing as the weapon only has 16.5% less core skill dmg in the tooltip comparison. When using the new weapon it doesn't really seem any more powerful, if anything it seems a little less powerful. Thoughts? Which would you use?

I did just this last night, started another playthrough on RDR2 lol. Forgot how long this game was, a nice change from slaying demons all night. If things don't get better i might not go back to D4 till after i'm done with Starfield.

You'll probably see quite an improvement after you've fully decked it out as well. When im not sure, i always test it by doing a dungeon run. Check the numbers when you hit a boss or mob.

Hard to tell without seeing them side by side, I think. 67% vuln damage is pretty wild though given the ease of applying it.

I was so certain it was going to be an improvement in dps I upgraded it, gem'd it, and imprinted it. I will try and compare direct numbers but it is hard as thare are many variables, such as how long ive been channeling ww, whether I have an extra boost to core from the aspect etc.

Vulnerable damage is a separate multiplier to the other 'more damage' type affixes so is more powerful than it may first appear, assuming you have a reliable source of applying vulnerability. Which given the effect of the Exploit glyph is pretty easy. Basically best in slot for WW Barb on all 4 weapons is Crit damage implicit (where its possible, ie not your 2 hand blunt slot), then Vulnerability Damage, Crit Damage, +Str or all stats, Damage to Close Enemies (since its a condition that is always met as opposed to core/bleeding etc) on the highest damage base you can find.
