I'm not trying to justify my purchase. I enjoy the game and am happy that I bought it.

I wasn't really happy that the PC version has been scaled down to what the console is capable of but I really don't care anymore as the MP is still great fun.
 
heres a straight simple thing

if they brought dedis out for this game then it would be great.

some nablet has already made a mod to enable the console so you can change all your stuff just like cod 4

so basically enable everything weve lot or 99 percent of it.

cod 4 is better at the moment and that has been out 2 yrs ! has dedi support so its bit unfair to compare the two. what a lot forget is that cod 4 was not without its problems at the start it was until 1.3 about when things started getting better and that was like months after release.

i still have a sneaky feeling that they will add dedi support somewhere down the line if it means a lot more sales or someone creates something to help aid the current way of doing it.

i was one of the haters but with nothing much to play at the moment what else is there to play?

if you like cod and there isnt anything till battlefield (march ) your fugged ! :D

so if it tides me over till battlefield its done its job for me..

PC gamers expect a certain standard from games, unfortunately that standard is neglected more and more.

No one complained when CoD4 got released, no one complained and made petitions when BF2 got released... sure some people were complaining about overpowered minigun or something else but that was a small complaint about an in-game feature.

MW2 is fundamentally flawed, we haven't even gotten to discussing which weapon is overpowered and which is weak.
 
I think a lot of people in this thread are missing the point. Yes it's a shame MW2 doesnt have dedi servers, but the reason for all the hooha is the route which it leads us towards in future titles as IW having the biggest game ever made, again, gives them a hell of a lot of influence in the gaming market. They have already announced that they plan to follow the path of pay for DLC and this all amounts to fewer customisable options for PC gamers and lets face it, PC gamers love to customise and fiddle otherwise we would all be console gamers! We like to play mods created by other players and not pay an extra £10 every time someone releases a new map or two.

I dont think a vote for MW2 necessarily is a bad thing in itself but it's the fact that it's a vote for IW's future planned business model that concerns me.

No because youd beat him senseless with your extra precision and speed, which is essentially why theres only been one cross platform fps i can think of and it used the ingenious levelling mechanic of 'make your crosshairs larger after every shot' meaning nobody ever hit anything. So it was fair in that way. Anyway, no.

Not true, Quake III Arena was multiplatform, and the guys on console got annihilated. I can't actually think of a worse PC vs console matchup, ahahaha.

If you have to "resist" buying, then definitely buy the game.

The reason many of us are not buying the game is not because we are resisting it, but because we simply do not want to buy such a game.

I imagine that a lot of them have played in the MW1 leagues as well, so bearing that in mind they were likely expecting it to be business as usual and actually be allowed to take part.

The ironic thing was, there was an Activision stand and anyone at any age were able to play the game on console or PC.

+ there was no age limit to watch them play...
