That doesn't really distract from the point that they were expecting business as usual regardless of the BBFC rating. The booths being open to all age groups just makes it even more galling.
No doubt it was a mistake to make this assumption but without communication to inform them of the 18 age limit their annoyance is somewhat more tangiable (at least in my mind).
They should have communicated the age restrictions when the event was originally announced and made sure this information was easily accessable, particularly with the image they (Activision) are creating for themselves amongst competitive clan gamers when considering how things have panned out lately.

Why so serious? Just play a different game if it is really that bad.
I personally dislike the lack of a server browser, I like to pick where I want to play, what map, what settings etc. The whole lack of these options just seems like going backwards to me (in terms of what PC Gamers have had for so long). I imagine they will offer servers based on a subscription service eventually though.
I don't know about you but I think I will pass on that offer

It's still terrible though, I had a lower ping when playing through Vodafone 3g on a dedi server than the average ping on there.
i guess. Oh and bullet reg must be awful, can't imagine this game working well in any serious comp, I38 proved that tho.
ive given up and im going to stop fighting

despite all the negatives it still is a fun game and i am enjoying myself online

why cant anything ever be perfect FFS

Let's be honest here. You gave up when you bought the game. The same as every other person who decided they would buy the game anyway. They all decided they didn't care enough that IW have treated the pc market like a bunch of chumps, and proved that IW really didn't have anything to fear regarding sales of their baby.

thing is you can complain and not buy the game and sit here for five months waiting for battlefield
or you can give the game a try like i have and actually enjoy it !heres what happens from what ive noticed with a lot of clan members and friends i know who have had any problems.
one they cant connect to a party
they get kicked out of lobby
they have a too old pc takes forever to load
crashes on launch
most of these issues are easily solved in five minutes or having a reasonable enough pc to play the game . not being smart but some people play on the very bare minimum and have trouble playing cod 4 on reasonable setting let alone this.
bad connection or lag outs.
the amount of people i know who have a bad connection or what i would consider a slightly higher than average ping even before launching the game is there main problem. this is not the game makers fault if your on wireless , live in a cave , out in the sticks or you just have a 512mb connection.
now these same people who i know when thy play cod 4 have at least a 100 ping sit there wondering why they cant connect as easily to someone with a 30 ping
its not hard to understand why.trouble operating steam
its not to hard to ooperate steam but a lot struggle at even the simplest tasks like joining a game. sending invites so simple yet the amount of time i say on ts " just shift and tab except / join is unreal . you dont even need to do that just right click there name and join how hard is it.
also cause some peeps pcs are from 98 they wonder why there game hasnt loaded in less than a nano second
so all in all if you get everything sorted running sweet its not bad at all and is in fact a very good game.
if i launch a game of say groundwork now ill be in a game in 5 secs playing a full game no problems.
the cod series has taken a turn for the worse and im sorry to say no matter how hard you shout doesnt matter now the connsole boys shout louder than us and they will rule the roost.
so its either play or dont play. or sit and play mine sweeper till battlefield comes along
ohh.. a lot more big games you might be waiting for are going the same way so your gunna be a minesweeper pro

Wasn't Q3 only multiplatform when someone managed to extract the maps from the .wad files on the dreamcast disk and modded them into the PC? I don't think it was ever intended to pit console gaming peasants against the elite PC community.
