Fixed. Well gee whiz I knew I we was hanging out in the ocuk forums for a reason. However surely switching on the computer should be at the start of that list? Secondly you haven’t addressed how to get over the 9v9 limit bug and the fact that it’s the hosts ping that matters?

Strange the only one I can think of is AvP and they’re just dodging the issue like crazy mainly because of the fuss of MW2 so i bet theyll happily announce support – so what ‘big games’ are you referring too? And another small point, minesweeper might not be necessary as there are a couple of other tichy games between now and BC, perhaps like L4D2, Max Payne 3, Stalker COP, and Bioshock 2 not to mention APB and Starcraft II and Battlefield 3 and STO around that time - so if you don’t mind, I wont abandon my principles, sell out and then try and convince myself that the reason im not enjoying the game is because I think the way to launch steam is to hit two sticks together and grunt. Thanks.

oh dear to serious some people :(

the only big multiplayer coming soon fpswise is bf bc2 which comes in march so you have months apon months of being bored if like me your a fps nut.

the game is good . if im a sell out im a sell out :D i love games and all the protests in the world aint going to change a thing ! this game is made. its how its going to be in the future. i can almost guarentee i played more hrs of cod than you so i know the score and i do wish i i could hold the picket line being all proper and right but end of day its boring being stood there with nothing to do but rant and rave :p

rather just be gaming with friends playing mw2 like i am ;) wasnt being funny earlier theres a lot of simple fixes that most people could do and play the game to near faultless performance. instead they come on here and rant how it doesnt work .

the dedis might come and i guess the remaining picket heroes will play then if added . hopefully we can get along and just play :D after all its just a game as someone told me

Selling our your principles? What principles might these be?

Not wishing to financially support a game that is dragging the technology supporting our hobby backwards rather than pushing it forwards and not wishing to support a publisher aiming to completely monetise their franchises in any way possible and who have a **** attitude towards prospective customers.

This particular game might be good enough to make up for the flaws but when the same crud gets dumped into all new games and they're not good enough to make up for it, I don't want to have been a part of supporting that change.

I'm sure others feel the same and in my opinion it's far less stupid than the people who moaned about the same things right up until release day and then went out and bought it anyway. If that wasn't you, then my comment doesn't apply to you, such is the magic of conditional phrasing.

I actually agree with most of what you say. I still want to play good games though and that's basically it. If you don't want to support them then crack it and enjoy their game for free. That'll teach 'em :D

Do not pay for any of IW's plans for DLC, surely that is the last vestige of hope to boycott?
Would you guys pay for dedicated servers?

Would you guys pay for dedicated servers?

Maybe if IW were hosting them, just the same as I have contributed to clan servers in the past. If I was paying for the ability to access servers that were still community hosted though, not a chance.

To be honest though, even if they did now, i'm at the point where I would rather just not bother with IW/Acti at all.

IW is basically testing the waters. If this goes down well and people buy the DLC then of course others will copy.
If people stop playing the multiplayer because of issues then this will prove their system doesnt work.
When a new game gets released like for example the new BF BC2 that does have dedicated servers and they suddenly see 2000 people on IW pc and 200000 on BF BC2 they may also rethink their approach.
There is nothing wrong with people wanting to try the product, if they then decide that the online is simply not worth it then they will not play it and in turn the community will shrink, so on and so forth...
All we can do is sit back and watch because a few boycotters will not change the way they think, espeicially if they have a strategy they are sticking to.

Calling someone a waste of space etc because they chose to try out the game to see if is actually any good is a bit silly. The original issue was the fact the game lacked dedicated servers, as a result people boycotted the game. I for one chose to to buy it because i was willing to change my principles, who knows it COULD have been better and i wanted to know for myself. So i bought it.

In my opinion the entire game wasnt that impressive. I know now that a system like IW net will just never fill the hole that the lack of dedicated servers has left. As such it has reinforced my opinion of not buying a MP game that lacks this feature. Call me what you will.

thing is even if we dont pay (apparently pc sales for mw2 game are 6 percent total ) not going to make one difference. consoles own cod simple as that.

whatever consoles do now managers the way the games going to go. i dont like it and understand why all include myself have got to great lengths to hope for a change from iw but the games out they got there cash .

the games good so what is there to do ? you hold the principle line or just go have a game of something .

whats more entertaining ? writing posts all day about cod mw2 or gaming itself. if its writing posts allday then id consider having a break from gaming for a while as you cant be enjoying it. so go have a game enjoy yourself and forget the iw big wigs .

Youve changed your tune, welcome to the light.

Been following this thread as it goes - I too am Enlightened, Brother. (spot the deliberate game reference?)

I haven't bought MW2 and wont, because I signed the petition saying I wouldn't. If I put my name to something then I'll stick by it.

I don't really want to contribute any money to IW now, COD 1 was and still is amazing, and is a much longer game than MW2, judging by peoples timings on completing it.

£35 for a game shorter than its' original predecessor, with less multiplayer facilities, and no lean - and thats what us PC gamers get for 6 years of support of the COD franchise.

Well thanks, but no thanks. They've made the good games, now all they want is money. Shame they're going to ruin PC multiplayer gaming in the process. :(

I have sigs off, didn't realise it was still there. It can stay though as you seem to like it :P

I've updated it for you, so you don't think I'm "smart", enjoy the funnies
