DiRT 4

Looking forward to this, but i'll be holding off buying until proper VR support comes if it ever does...
I've found myself playing Dirt Rally more and more recently since i got the Rift, I have found that its just so much easier to drive with VR, i dont know if thats purely down to the immersion or what but playing without now just seems rather meh and i cant get the same "feel" for what the car is doing.

Using my Samsung Smart tv 49" curved screen to play Dirt 3, DSR at 3840 x 2160 really makes a difference.

With everything being bigger you can position your car a lot better for corners and see further up the stage ahead has improved my times and takes the game to another level.

If you have a good large screen TV with game mode give it a go.

YouTube has plenty of info on how to set up a LED TV for gaming, try searching for your TV model.

Dg Dirt 4 will be here soon just another 19 long days to go :(.

I bet that is great, i do the same but on my old 2010 1080P tv screen, because it has hardly any processing i get no input lag in games, think the screen is at like 15ms, where most new tv screens are like 40 to 60ms, way to much for my fast shooter games, but whats your screen like, do you use game mode to lower input lag, or are you one of the lucky ones that just dont notice it ?

folded and bought it on CDkeys,
Hope I get my key promptly, last time I preordered a game from them was Diablo 3 and by the time I got my key the servers were actually working.

But at £25 couldn't really say no.

Hi, l just use my TV for driving games not FPS games, apart from using game mode there are other settings in your TV's settings you can turn off to reduce lag and correct colour set up.

You say your TV has 15ms is that response time of screen or refresh rate, my TV screen has a 60HRTz refresh rate got no idea what the response time is. The faster the TV screen refresh rate is makes for better gaming just like a monitor, some TV's have a refresh rate of 120HRTz.

Check YouTube out for TV game and colour set up they have quite a few TV models with this info.

Also remember if you have to use a USB cable extension for your wheel to reach the TV from your pc use a USB Active extension cable this boosts the signal as using just a USB extension as its signal degrades after 5metres.

Cheers, yes i did know about that usb extenders degrades over 5m, that goes for hdmi cables as well, i use just 3m ext cables so ok, yeh my tv is 60HRTz also, 15ms is response time, can google to get your response time for your model, and yeh, i turn off a lot of processing also for gaming, cheers

What would be the cheapest way to put a frame together for a steering wheel and pedals to clamp to?

Based on someone who can't be bothered, and doesn't have the tools to construct their own.
