DiRT Rally 2.0 - v1.2
DiRT Rally 2.0 - christina.mcgrath

Hi all,

Today, v1.2 releases at 11am – at which point, RaceNet will go down for maintenance – so please make sure you’re not playing the game when 11am comes around as it could compromise your event times uploading to the server. We’re expecting to be back up and running by 12pm, so don’t worry – it’ll be a maximum of an hour’s down time before you can get back to being DiRTy!

For those of you keen to know what today’s update will bring, the full list of notes is below:

• Stability improvements across all modes
• Prevented negative times from posting to leaderboards
• OSD Dial can now be enabled in headcam
• New engine audio for Citroen C3 R5 and Ford Mustang GT4
• ‘Upgraded’ trophy/achievement will now unlock
• Darkness issue resolved when using interior cameras
• Softlock will no longer occur if user owns too many vehicles
• Proximity indicators are now available for rallycross
• Prevented exploit for claiming rewards multiple times
• Podium counter will now correctly update in My Team
• Prevented audio cut outs
• Joker Lap cut-scene is now skippable
• Custom online will no longer disconnect users in specific conditions
• Improvements and corrections to text (all languages)
• Improvements to subtitle content
• Accented characters will be entered correctly in user text fields

+ Server-side change: we’ve also tuned frequency of night stages and bad weather stages. We know a lot of you were reporting that the occurrence of dark/wet stages was a little too frequent, so we’ve done some tweaking to ensure a few more dry and day stages

Thanks,
Team DiRT

Nice to see something moving. Still having fun in the game despite only 6 unique stages in reality (meh). And I still think the cars behave more naturally than in DR1 even though some Polish wheel elitists say otherwise. I'm just a pad peasant but I don't think the cars behaving like huge soapboxes equals more realism.

Can't comment on FFB, obviously.

I got up from night shift at 12 to turn it in incase I had bad WiFi but luckily there’s fibre optic so only took 10mins:D so been on all afternoon. Suffered my first fatal accident in New England just after a drone came in low over my head then over a jump and into a fence. Also found out what happens when you don’t pick the right tyres for the job, had normal tyres on for the first round then never changed them to wets so had to slide round Spain to victory(just) to take the championship! finished all 6 locations and now wandering what to buy next to go through it all again:D
can see this being my most played game in steam. Catching up on GTA5 hours already

What’s the launch control in the settings? And has anyone used it? Be more for the steering wheel drivers would it?

Launch Control essentially a secondary rev-limiter for the engine that is activated when the driver holds down a momentary switch on the handbrake.

Its in game settings give it ago, some of use drive with launch control off, assists off or any other setting that gives you the edge when using a wheel Dg for one.

probably monaco which releases tomorrow. :D

bagged a world record just now in the peugeot 205 gti in argentina whoever set it was quick took a few hrs to beat it.
