DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

quick question. I bought this thru Steam a while back.. If i pick myself up an oculus rift this week, will i be able to play it in VR mode ? What exactly do i need to do to go VR with this game ? Sorry for the noob question.. new to VR.
 
Doesn't seem to like the TS PC RACER.

Managed to find a way of recognising it as a preset, even with that though it's an utter mess. No manual gears, with the steering so out out whack, it 100% snaps at about 45` rotation.

I get the feeling there's more going on, running the game through revive ect.. but even that, the old g25 was fine. I've seen a youtube video of one being used, so it is possible. That all said, with the no Co-driver voice I also suffer from, I'm near to giving up.

Digging around I've seen lots of tales of woe.

I signed up last month to get the Witness for $12, have decided to keep it for this month to get this as well - *please* tell me they've done away with the stupid Gymkhana stuff in this one? (or at least toned it down) - I haven't kept up with the series since Dirt 3 made it clear they'd put the Rally heritage in the toilet, and Dirt Showdown just reinforced that (I own it but couldn't bring myself to even install it)
 
Dirt rally is only hard core rally.back to basics.imagine Dark souls but with cars :D

just remember its not easy and you will have to practice to get anywhere.its nothing like Dirt3/showdown.which you can drive flat out while eating your dinner.:p

Happy to hear that - sounds good, Dirt3 was still an okay "game" overall and I did play it to completion... but I didn't like the direction the series was increasingly headed in... Can't wait for the bundle to drop now!

Well I'm enjoying Dirt Rally a lot so far! It's tough but fair I feel... have turned off all assists, headcam only, no HUD and it's very immersive... the only arcade-y setting I've left on is automatic transmission as I can never quite get on with changing gears in games (despite driving in real life... I sort of feel as though I go mostly by the feel of the car to instinctively know when to change gear, and in-game you don't get that; at least not with a controller, I haven't tried with a wheel etc.)

Unless I'm mistaken I like how it's done this time as well - with what looks like the different "events" perpetually repeating... stops you from feeling like you have to keep re-trying (or worse, restarting) each event until you get 1st place in everything, because it's more about just doing as good as you can and building up your cash, crew, perks etc. - very liberating; and I've certainly recovered from some pretty bad crashes to go on to win an event (where previously I'd have likely popped open the menu and hit "restart" the second I started skidding off the track)
 
i am having a problem with my g29. It started when i installed project cars. I had to remap the gas brake and clutch in project cars and everything was fine. A few days later i had a go on dirt rally and found i had to remap the gas, brake and clutch for the game.
I then noticed it thought i had a gamepad connected and its been like that ever since. Is there any way to get it to reconise my wheel again, i have had no luck with a web search. Thanks for any halp or advice.

ps i have tried uninstalling the games, drivers etc but stiil no luck
 
dont play through geoforce experience that was causing issues a while ago.
remove all traces of your logitech software and cfg.some of that maybe hidden.so check with hidden folders enabled.
when setting up do exactly as it says don't add in the usb connection before it asks to.
win 10 does have odd issues now and then.although it should work fine on win 10 if all is right and not faulty.
