DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

:p

the guys with wheel trouble adjust the wheel software.i leave mine at default in game and adjust logitech settings.

only thing is on monaco on dry tarmac the tires feel a little over sticky on fwd cars. all rest are fine and okay to drive.

weird how the snowy icey stages of monaco are easier to drive though :D

after getting used to the speed of the Audi s1 and pug 205 TI i dont want to drive anything else :p

can honestly say without hesitation this is the best driving game released in years and only just in early access .

Have they started shipping Dirt Rally with ancient Logitech Momo Force wheels yet, to match the ancient ~270 degrees of linearity rotation the game offers, just like all other racing titles produced by them over the last 10 years or so? :p

One thing I am impressed with so far, is how much interaction we have on the Steam forums between fans and the devs (well only a single dev). They do seems to be listening to everyone and looks good for the future. In the meantime I think this can be overridden using the Logitech profiler?

OMG. I think i have finally managed to join the OcUK league. I must have tried at least ten times lol. So if you guys see Mr_Biscuits there it is me.

I've been reading that RBR contained some kind of training school before you begin your career? How much does this teach someone how to rally?

Since RBR is considered the best, I've been tempted to try and grab the game... just it can't be found online for cheaper than £14.99 at uk.gamesplanet.

this is one of my fav tracks.

205ti and audi s1 :D

Devrij seem to be turning late are u using handbrake ? you will get better just keep practicing.

i am mastering welsh tracks doing over and over . starting to know the corners without looking.

Braking too late more than turning too late if you're referring to the corners I'm thinking of. I'm still getting the hang of Braking without locking up my tyres. Although I've over steered into the wall so many times I might have subconsciously started entering a bit late!

on ebay disk version is like 5 quid.with rbr i jumped straight in spent a week! practicing. it is that hard.

thing is its very rewarding but the mods and such are a pain to install. only reason i don't play it still.

this dirt game is a nice balance without the bellyache and better looking.

just finished my ocuk event placing was doing good until landed on a ledge unable to get off :(:D also the 1st night map i haven't even done :D

good fun.

It doesn't teach you anything at the moment! You can either start career blind or at least do some custom rallies to get used to the handling that said it probably doesn't need too much of a driving school compared to RBR as that is far more of a sim and expects you to know all the nuances of Rally.

For Dirt Rally just take it easy to start with and over a few races you will be able to push further, also listen to the co-driver and understand what he is saying!

i feel that myself but this game even in early access is better than most full games.

honestly best driving game since rbr. thats like 10 yrs ago.

How well does it play on a controller vs a proper wheel? Might be tempted, but I don't have a wheel I can use, so it would be an Xbox controller. (As an aside, can you use an Xbone controller on PC natively?)
