DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

I've also allowed "Event" restarts. So if you want to restart you can, but you will have to do both stages again.

I've done it this way to stop anyone constantly retrying per stage.
 
Should be no Restarts. Real Rallies you can't even practice them beforehand, that's what makes Rallying what it is.

Yeah agreed if you **** up on stage 1 you can just redo it at the end isn't much different from restart button. They don't practice but they do recce the course...at pace? :p
 
I've a challenge for anyone that wants to take it up (and maybe save my sanity!) :)

In Monaco on Col De Turnini Depart what time can you get with a group B car? I've been doing it against the computer. It's really tough track but I'm further behind the computer on this track than any other it seems.

The computer is doing 6:28 and my best time so far has been 6:36

Can anyone get close to or beat the computers time? Or is it just me being sucky? :)

I'm convinced the 'Results' are just RNG'd, I've done Championship Rally Event Stages now where I feel I've done great and come 8th, and others where I've spun or picked up Penalties and come 2nd or 1st! Makes no sense at all. :confused:

After the F1 game debacle a few years ago with the qualifying cars being given randomly generated lap times despite being on track it wouldn't surprise me.

Recceing the stages disagrees with you. How do you think they write the pace notes ;)?

The times were representative, they just didn't relate to the position of the AI cars on track.

I have set some perfect sectors and then been somehow 10 seconds behind the leader, which in the 60s FWD cars seems beyond the laws of physics.
