DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

The timeline suggests Finland and a "Winter Wonderland" (so probably Sweden?) will be added. Shame there isn't an all tarmac Rally, although the Tarmac Terrors update could be a combination of tarmac cars and a tarmac rally like Germany or Spain?

Edit: Skeeter Fail! I didn't realise that the timeline had further detail when you clicked on it :p. Tarmac Terrors is Germany, Flying Finland is Finland (obviously) plus some cars, and Winter Wonderland is an unnamed 'new environment' which I assume will be another Rally, and one with snow.

So by the end of the year we will have Monaco, Greece, Wales, Germany, Finland, Sweden(?), Pikes Peak and 3 Rallycross tracks. I wonder if the Rallycross tracks will be real? Lydden Hill here we come :)

What happens after Masters? Does it RESET? I'm half-way through Elite now and wish I would have padded out the lower Championships a bit for Credits, finish low so you don't get promoted, do the Events again and get the Cars upgraded while earning extra cash. Ideally I'd like to pick a Car and then choose which Championship I'd like to do in it so you could role-play(NO, not in that weird way..) the Game a bit and give it some more longevity.
 
No it stays on masters. The higher events take forever to finish but they do give you more credits. I have 655k after doing that championship and paying for repairs, I think I was pretty much on 0 before starting it so it's pretty much all from that event.

Also I uploaded my video of the 5:58 night run of Sweet Lamb. Sorry the framerate isn't too great, my 290 doesn't seem to like the night stages :/

 
Great time jp. Not sure if I'll have time for the first stages today :( we'll see. Wouldn't mind uploading a video myself but I have 0.80 upload here probably take all week to do

hmm hopefully they'll fix that as it is "early access". The 290 is a more than capable card.

I couldn't get handbrake to work and converted a video using Windows Media Encoder earlier. Quality wasn't amazing but it came out at 220mb with 60fps 1080p so not too bad to upload

Is it possible to Vote on 'Restarting Event'? Personally I don't want it, goes against the entire point of a Rally Game, it just becomes another Hot-Lap Racer and is not what Rallying is about. If people really want to practice they can do it in the Custom Event thing but the League Events should not be re-playable, yeah it's harsh and brutal, but that's Rallying! :cool::D

For what it's worth I Vote: No Restarting Events.
