Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
+1ok i see where you are with comparing prices but then other factors would come into it.
reportedly a new 5870 can hit 188w on load. a 295 hits over 400w so it then enters a different market. those who have a 450w psu can upgrade to one of these without changing there psu. they can't run a 295 without upgrading there psu aswell which then incurs more cost.

Am I right in thinking that DirectX 11 has invalidated PhysX, because it can deal with its own version using compute shaders? If nVidia will release the 300 series and make a nice improvement over Ati, then I'll head for nVidia (as I want physx and cuda).

You're probably right. I was thinking that the small exhaust vent meant that it didn't need anything bigger and that was a good sign.
What I really need to know is how it's tdp will compare to my 260. My loop has limited cooling capacity and I can't afford to be dumping more heat into it.

I can't wait for tomorrow, if what ive heard is true
I'd be surprised, the NDA lasts until a time, not just a date.
For us the time is 05:01 tomorrow, if Guru3D are X hours ahead of us then they may well have to wait until 05:01+X their time.
Basically, it should be about 16 hours before anything can officially come out I reckon, regardless of whereabouts in the world you are.
