There are many scholarships and bursaries and grants for kids from low income households.
That's not relevant to what we're talking about. We're on about the disparity in who is getting chosen.
There are 9x as many white kids as black kids in that situation as the stat keeps getting repeated (seems obvious given there's 9 times as many white as black households in the uk) so there is 9 times as many white kids as black kids eligible for those grants.
Where is your evidence that there are 9 times as many white kids as there is black kids in that situation? Unless you show evidence of were you got that number from then I'm calling it made up.
But that isn't the case is it?
Unless a new law got passed recently that's what I think the SC people would call a strawman right?
And fake position made up to agree against easily?
So you've never heard of positive discrimination? You've never seen how companies are encouraged to setup quotas for the people they hire? Why does there have to be a law?
If you tick all the boxes you'll get good publicity for your company. This is really basic stuff. To argue that it doesn't happen seems odd.
