Dishonored 2

How did you find the performance? I keep hearing it had a lot of issues on release.

Yes I saw that in the reviews too which is why I did not buy it on release (I don't buy games on release anymore as they are generally broken).

I played Dishonored 2 around January this year and performance was great - really beautiful gameworld and no performance issues on my system.

Don’t buy games on release anymore – you are just paying extra to do developers’ bug testing for them! e.g. Sounds like Far Cry 5 still isn’t fixed.

If it runs like crap then what's the point? I paid £14 for it and I can't even play it.

I am surprised by this. Is anyone else on an Nvidia card still having performance issues in Dishonored 2? No good reason for performance issues this long after release – although Crysis 3 is still broken for me on my AMD card.

Performance issues are a killer, I still shudder when I think how unforgiveably broken Deus Ex:MD was for me on release.

I would be very surprised if such a great game as Dishonored 2 was still not working on 70% of gpus! This is a really great game, there must be some way to get it working on such a high-end gpu.

Absolutely, I've tried a lot of fixes and would be really grateful if anyone could share what they did to solve the issue. I'd love to play the game as the first one was excellent (I've completed that one twice).

My only regret is not getting the Steam refund when I could, as the game is unplayable for me.

Graphics don't look quite right to me though, like someone has smeared vaseline over the screen.

Need to play with the settings.

Edit: Doing some research, it could be the adaptive resolution setting or AA. Will try those first.

Changing these has definitely improved things.

Did all the performance problems get sorted in this ? (i presume they will have by now :p), as might pick it up in the Steam sale, along with the Death Of The Outsider.

EDIT: Looks like theres a demo, i'll give it a whirl.

Gah, Denuvo crap.

The game was stable for me. In terms of FPS it varied quite a bit, ranging from the 50 - 90 FPS (we the same GPU).

Changing the subject, did you have any stability issues when you were playing Rise of The Tomb Raider recently? I've having a second playthrough but am getting the occasional crash...

I might give the demo a try then, then again, the Denuvo carp, hmm :p

I had a hang in the Baths of Kitezh Tomb on ROTTR, on my way out of it, when i was running up the stairs, it went really stuttery, then just hung, had to Task Manager kill and reload, where it then ran fine, was the only prob i had throughout the whole game.

Mmm the game seems really unstable for me. Getting a couple of crashes each time I play it - only takes a notification or something to come through for it to freeze and crash. Happens regardless if I have the card overclocked or in balanced mode. No big deal as I can play it for hours without it crashing was just curious if it was a Vega issue. Thanks for responding.
