Funny timing how these amd sponsored games are now all of a sudden getting dlss, gamer nexus called it perfectly:

I've played and completed the game and no intentions on going back now though. Had to make do with FSR but thankfully nvidias DLDSR made it tolerable.

It's not just DLSS but also Frame Generation + Reflex, Quite a nice surprise as I'm only 20% the way through the story.

But yeah as you say GN called it, I had an inkling DLSS would start to get added to AMD sponsored games once the backlash became big enough.

I will wait for it to be on the £3.99 ea pass and if I have nothing going on I will try it then :D

Right now got Starfield which will take me a long time to be done with, then Cyberpunk which will be at least another 60-80 hours for a new playthrough with the expansion.

After that will likely be BG3 if I can get it for around £35 around Xmas sales.

By then STALKER 2 will be out. So yea. Should be on the cheap ea pass by then which I can play that and Dead Space for like £8 probably :D

On the side I am playing Street Fighter 6 and soon Mortal Kombat 1 and Tekken 8.

Good time to be a PC gamer. Who has time for consoles :p:D

Only reason I want a PS5 is for God of War Ragnarok, Spiderman 2 and Ghost of Tsushinma.... but I'm still hesitant to get one :D

At least two of those will hit PC next year I recon. I am in no rush. Want Horizon Forbidden West more than those anyway I think.

Also got Final Fantasy 16 coming. But I won't be paying silly money for that one. Will need to drop to £35 as Final Fantasy games have changed a lot and not as good for me like they used to be. I prefer the turn based versions.

I think I paid £40 or £45 for FFVII Remake on PC when it came out. Might play that again once I finish all the games I mentioned above.

Done them all on the peasant machine apart from Spiderman 2 off course. All top notch games, gave the Platinum trophy treatment to HFW, GOS and GOW Ragnarok. I just don't have the patience to wait so long on a PC release. How good is Street Fighter 6?

I am happy to wait these days. Doesn't bother me. At least not with those titles anyway.

SF 6 is good. I mean I prefer it to SF5 anyway. Just don't like seeing the original cast age so much.

They do have alternate costumes which are like the original where they also look somewhat younger due to being clean shaven but still not the same :p

"FSR 2 here is a shimmery mess, you guys saw my video comparison of the space sport sequence it was shimmering everywhere. Dlss fixes all of that, it looks better than native with TAA and it's just so temporally stable and you get super clean edges that make the game look super sampled."

Whatever, it just stinks that we have to rely on a modder to give consumers a choice in upscalers.

I said before, I hope AMD don't get to 'sponsor' too many more AAA titles.

Unless FSR3 turns out be better than DLSS, even so, I'd still like the choice.

I wouldn't worry, amd have been caught red handed and called out, looks like they have changed their tune given the sudden u turn on amd sponsored games now getting/having dlss ;)

Again where is the smoking gun? All you have posted are speculations from different people/outlets not cold hard facts. If this John person you write about have put forward proper evidence then why not just link/share that instead? then this discussion would be over. Nobody is saying that FSR...

Uses proprietary hardware = quality.

Can’t have both, sucks yes, but people lying to themselves and others doesn’t help anyone.

Gotta hand it to AMD though, they managed to promote DLSS and FG for starfield better than anyone by being so cheap.

Sadly DLSS2 doesn't work properly in Jedi Survivor currently, Respawn will hopefully address this, Frame Generation works though.
