Apparently Moffat is writing 6 episodes of what will be a 13 episode season i'd think so thats good news.
He also running the show, but i don't think any of us had any worries about moffat taking charge

It's 12 limit.
I generally agree that the episode was rubbish. The Time Lord arc had a lot of potential and alas it was chewed up and spat out in 30 minutes. Hopefully they will make another showing in the next series.
I assume that was why there was a big to do about him dying as he thought it was the end, yet it wasn't... Hopefully that's cleared up in the first few episodes of the new series!
yeah they're pretty much rebranding doctor who again, new logo and all that stuff so series 1...again. They don't want to confuse your average joe now.
I was quite disappointed
The start was the worst though, I could not believe I was watching a major BBC1 production, it was awful! The plot made less sense than usual as well, I was most unhappy, good job I had shiny timelords to entertain me and some turkish delight to eat or I would have been very unhappy
However, I am of course going to watch the second part, it is Dr Who after all, and only smelly poos don't watch Dr Who at Christmas![]()
I turned on the TV today and there was the Dr Who - The Girl In The Fireplace, now that was a quality episode!
Exactly why the new series should be good, I don't think Moffat has written a bad episode yet.
So he's doing the new series then? OK... Sounds promising... The X-mas special was rather daft!
Think you need to re-watch those episodes. Riversong many times says that Tennant isn't the Doctor she knew, that she sent the message for help to the wrong time and that he hasn't actually met her yet but will.
And yet we have the TIME LORDS apparently unable to do anything to get out of the TIMElock.
Timelords? Really?
I watched DW Confidential today and it deffo looked like she recognised him in that form, not a future one.
Does anyone else think that Rose looked a bit weird?
He's taken over Russell T Davies's job and has also written 6 of the 13 episodes in the new series.

Happens in almost every sci fi show.

Think that's more of a goodbye to Tennant and also because it's the last Dr Who that Russell T Davies is working on, so they decided this would be the end so to speak. I think they are even referring to the new series of Dr Who as season 1 and not season 5.
