Doctor Who

I am so disappointed in this series. :( I thought the episode last week was a step in the right direction but its once again ruined this week. Ugh, I find myself not looking forward to the next weeks episode.

This was the first episode this season where I felt really disappointed.
I must admit I really do like what Capaldi has brought to the Doctor this season. He seems to have lightened up a lot and it's working so much better.
You can tell Clara's exit is close because the Dr is warming up to her. I am interested to see who the next companion will be, I was expecting it to be Osgood but after the end of the Zygon 2 parter I doubt that will happen now.

I have to say i don't get when almost everyone seems to think that was the worst episode ever. It was certainly no worse than i've come to expect from Doctor Who.

Oh its definitely not the worst Who episode at all. I can think of a few others that get that title.
It was a boring episode compared to the others in this season. Maybe when I get around to re-watching in a few months I may pick up in stuff I over looked last night but it just seemed like it was lacking, it had promise but didn't deliver.
I think they wanted to find a new 'scary' character like the weeping angels but for me, it missed the mark entirely.

Really? I hope that wasn't their aim. As soon as it mentioned 'sleep dust' or whatever ie monsters made from the gunk/crusty bits you wipe away in a morning (from your eyes you dirty minded people!) then the plot just lost credibility.

Also, Geordies in space - really? Any need?

Wasn't the 50th back in 2013

Yes sorry, we are time travellers... :D

Ok maybe it was just the Doctor Who Festival...it was a great day and I got a Sonic Screwdriver!

It wasn't the best episode but it wasn't the worst either.

I got the impression (though it wasn't stated or even really implied I think) that the dust consumes the person effectively making the sandman the person or what's left of the person... or something like that. :)

So this week wasnt a start to a two parter? It certainly felt like one. As a set up for a two parter it wasnt bad but as a single episode im not sure.

Also the no titles part really throw me off.

Yeah that episode was utter crap but this season has been a lot better. I still don't understand how the sonic sunglasses didn't get shot down as soon as it was mentioned and the guy responsible given latrine duty for a month. Also the Zygons episode was good but the Zygons look absolutely ridiculous. Two steps forward, one step back.

That was a pretty crappy episode but I feel that there are more crap than good with Doctor Who. The Zygon ones were quite good, the ones with the girl out of Game of Thrones were alright then appalling. She's not a good actress its just the role she plays in GoT suits her acting ability. The bits where she was going through her "history" were so bad it was cringeworthy.

They didn't really explain much in this episode beyond broad, strange, make no real sense strokes which didn't help.

Loved the Zygon episodes and this season has been better on the whole than Capraldi's last.

However this last episode was odd. I appreciate they were trying something different, but I think it would have been better, written as a normal episode.
