Saw it on some site I was browsing on yesterday; although I had seen her name mentioned previously where it mentioned she was apparently asked the question, but avoided it nervously.

Anyway; The Sun claims fans are annoyed after it was apparently leaked that it will be Kris Marshall.

Either they are the two favourites, or they are just a ruse.

She can do comedy (on reflection it's probably not the sort of comedy Doctor Who fans are used to though). Out of all the names I saw tipped for the role I was hoping it would be her.

She was excellent in Attack the Block but I haven't seen her in much else.

Will be looking forward to seeing how this turns out, I think she'll do a good job.

Also will be interesting to see how many people write her off without seeing a single second of her as the Doctor just based on her being female.

I don't think a woman suits this role. It's like James Bond being a woman just doesn't work.
