Doctor Who

Brilliant episode and its going to be a long week til the final 65min episode next week. What a cliffhanger too - what is going to happen with the regeneration? (rhetorical question) If anyone does know for sure then please don't post here.

In terms of next year, I'd heard they were only doing specials to fit in with DT's commitments next year as he wants to do other things and the producers of the show are honouring this as DT is so popular in the role. This of course is at odds with the end of the current episode if we're getting new doctor.

My guess - and I hope its right - is we are going to get a brief appearance from a previous doctor - if this is the case then who (no pun intended) would people like to see?

tom baker! :D

of course, there is nothing to stop the doctor looking the same when he regenerates ( i don't think)

I think Chris Eccles Cake would be a good choice (as he isn't a lot older since he left the role) - if Sarah Jane was in the TARDIS during the regeneration then Tom Baker would be a great choice and no mistake. I think I'd be really disappointed if he just regenerated into DT again - that would be very pants.

one of them said that Donner had something on her back!!

I thought she said that she 'had' something on her back rather than that she 'has' something on her back. I presumed, from them being able to see in to her future, that they could also look in to her past and that was thus what they were referring to. This all being another alternative reality would be so lame - it'd be the Doctor Who version of everything being a dream.

I assumed that was because she was a fake timelord and thus wasn't nearly as good at it (able to come back to life but not 'transform')

Didn't his daughter regenerate back into herself a few eps back? Same thing here is it not.

True - but it looked different in the daughters case - with the Doctor it looked like a fully fledged regeneration ie the same as when he last regenerated and also when The Master regenerated too. I think he has got to change otherwise it'll be a really lame follow on to the cliffhanger.

I thought that, but they played the same bug noise that they did last week when they talked about it, which is a bit confusing as at the end of last week it was supposed to have fallen off/died and that time line closed. If that ends up being important it will be as bad as when Dynasty wrote off a whole season due to it being a dream.

Maybe it's Donna's theme now. It would make sense - Rose has a great theme, Martha's is OK, Donna's is ridiculously bad ... just like the actresses

So how do people think the second part is gonna end? Wil they actually make a proper story out of it and have the planets escape from the new dalek empire.. Or will it be the standard biro pen turned into a super flux capicator that for the 56th time wipes out the daleks only for them to come back in another eyebrow raising storyline a year or 2 down the line?

Trailer for next weeks episode is on the official site tomorrow and next weeks episode is going to be over an hour long. Have to say that was a brilliant episode, if extremely daft, and really can't wait to see the conclusion. I agree with some people here that it's going to be a temporal equivalent of a get-out-of-jail-free-card with Donna and the bug reference which will probably involve parallell universes and the like (way to much mentioning of stuff like that at the beginning). Wonder what the close up on the hand was about as well.

I hope they don't write off too much of the timeline though as that would just be plain annoying much like the ending of last Season which was a two parter non-event.

Agreed - last seasons ending was poor and it would be a big shame if everything was down to the Time Beetle and everything is suddenly ok 5mins from the end - that would be another RTD cop out ending like last time.

BTW I'm really pleased Steven Moffat is taking over as I've really liked his stories - especially Blink. Hope he can keep those great ideas coming.

Let's not forget that all this is taking place in a 'time bubble' 1s into the future. How that will affect everything hasn't been mentioned yet!

Probably provide a conveniant explanation for putting everything back to normal.

Darleks trapped in the time bubble etc.

Though I wouldn't mind if it all got reverted to normal but the Daleks were still at large and became a proper plot for Dr Who over a series or two.

i belive the DR will saty as DT they find some lameass way of explaining it, what i am wondering about is who/what in the big red dalek

How come billie pipers mouth looks like a fish since shes been coming back or has she always had a very strange mouth? Its just bugging the hell out of me.

About the episode last. Great episode. Its always a pleasure to see the darleks in it. To be honest this episode alone could have been a made for tv movie if they wanted it was that good. I hope this drags out to about 3/4 episodes long this story arc. I hope they dont change the doc as david is very good at the doctor actin i thought.

Doctor Who, is a time travel theme, thus they can pretty much, kill, bring back anythink they like. I for one just hope the regeneration isnt a end of episode cop out.
