Well Tateslapper wasn't a romantic interest at all.
No excuses for this, it made me chuckle.

The main problem I have with the new series is the fact that it's just one 45-minute story a week. With the classic series you had proper serials that lasted anywhere from two episodes right up to about twelve episodes, you had properly fleshed out characters, story, lore etc. over the course of the serial and everything felt really well developed and you could immerse yourself in the serial.
But these 45-minute episodes are kinda like a flash in the pan, go out to another planet, save the day and back in time for tea.
Thats my main gripe with modern Who, and I'm guessing it's done that way because the world is impatient nowadays and people don't want strung out serials, apparently.
See now, these guys were believable. Well, I grew up with them so I'm probably biased anyway.
There's no timelord 'mystique' about him. I could see him presenting the sooty and sweep show tbh.
Old school Who for the win. This is what an alien attack was like:
Nice jag police car too, not bad for the budget back then.
With regards to the older Doctor Who shows are there any recommendations as to which ones to pick up?
It's such a shame that they're never repeated
Those classic screen grabs have reminded me...whatever happened to The Brigadier.
Was one of my absolute favourite characters. They should bring back The Brigadier !!
I can't ever think of a time when I thought 'What have they done?'
