Does something need to be done about dogs?

Why do some dog owners always go full retard? "Well if you're going to ban dogs ban humans, they're worse".
Humans are worse but you know...they're essential for continuation of the human race. Dogs are not essential. They're nice to haves. They can be useful.

Your argument is to ban all dogs that is classed as dangerous in your eyes. So same must go for everything else.

Humans may be essential for continuing the human race, nothing says we need to have all humans the same or to exterminate and remove a certain gene pool from existence because they could be bought up wrong, sorry I mean naturally violent for no reason outside of being dangerous.

The only reason those genepools exist is because we created them. They are not a natural occurrence.

What about children that are raised by the same parents yet one goes on to be violent and the other doesn't? It's almost like there's some sort of other factor at play. Maybe it has a name? Maybe it's something that's been heavily studied?

As for the wolves, coyotes etc, not really a fair comparison against dogs which have been domesticated for hundreds of years. Not debating natural habits or rogue examples (we have that in humans too), but a large majority is caused by poor upbringing and ownership.

Why can't I own a flame thrower or a tactical nuclear weapon?

As for banning the dogs, all this would do is push to further cross breeding and genetics to make a different dog that gets round the ban.

You can't own a tactical nuclear weapon in America. I also don't want to go to America.

Dangerous things are restricted because even in 'good hands' they can be a danger. Not hard, is it?
