I mean yeah it's silly what he's saying, he's obviously trying to show some out of the box thinking but clearly has no idea what he's talking about. UV light does work as a disinfectant, so maybe someone's put some silly idea in his head

He could just refrain from out of the box thinking considering how absurd some of his ideas are, and just leave the appropriate parts to the medical experts (during these conferences).
