At one stage she had to stop giving eye contact and he started to look at the other guy there and it looked to me like she was holding back a laugh.

I like the way he talks complete nonsense and then had the front to call the journalist fake news. For gods sake you just spouted complete fake news and you think they are the ones making stuff up?

The crazy thing is there had been stories over the last two weeks of people dying because they were ingesting dettol and other caustic substances. Maybe it wasnt shown on Fox news.
 
Will we get to to the point where journalists at the press conference start treating him with the same contempt that he shows them?

I wonder how he'd handle that.

I've actually been working on a format for this show. And Trump will do it too, because I can guarantee him the best ratings in the history of the world.

It's essentially a game show with a studio audience and panel of experts. After the usual hype and introductions there will be three sections. In the first section we play back clips of Trump talking about Coronavirus treatments - maybe show a few of his Tweets etc. The panel get to make witty comments and give feedback on his ideas. The climax is the audience voting for their favourite Trump treatments (in the interests of time this will probably be used to get a list of the top three). This ramps up to the second section where Trump comes on and tries the chosen treatments live on air. The third section will either be interviewing Trump, a live band as backup if Trump isn't now feeling well, or maybe cut straight to commercial if we need to leave the country in a hurry. I'm pitching it as a run of 8 shows, with the caveat that the longevity of format depends very much on the treatments chosen.

The only real grasp of using duck metaphors I have is from writing a short story for my children 15 years ago.

I'm not up to speed on everyday usage of duck phrases.

Edit. Btw, I'm a capitalist, so not sure about what your comrade mention means.
 
I honestly don’t know how Dr Brix could actually sit there and not say anything, surely under her Hippocratic Oath she should have spoken out!

That would play straight into Trump's hands, he'd love it. They need to remain calm and just keep asking the tough questions. They have done a far better job since this started, maybe having a small journalist pool in these briefings helps as there aren't other journalist for Trump to use as a deflect.
