Donald Trump

Something I've been wondering about lately is why these people defend Trump so vehemently? I could understand if it was someone who affected their lives directly but none of these guys (ok @deuse is sometimes Florida Man (holy crap that just explained so much!)) live over there, are affected by anything over there, in fact it's about as much relevance as supporting Anne Frank. Yet here we are, watching these guys fight tooth & nail for someone who has absolutely zero impact on their lives.

Why?

Inhaling glues, gases and/or aerosols can cause mood swings, aggressive behaviour, hallucinations, vomiting and blackouts.

.......

Long-term abuse can damage the muscles, liver and kidneys. While very long term use, such as 10 years or more, can cause a lasting impairment of brain function (especially affecting how the brain controls body movement).

I'm curious if you've ever looked into the history of those virus' and diseases, because if you had you'd know German measles is so called because it was a distinct form of the measles discovered by German physician in the 1750's, Spanish Flu was named as such because sensors during WW1 wanted to suppress information about it in the UK, France, and Germany but as they couldn't do that in neutral Spain people believed Spain was the epicenter so it gain the colloquial name "Spanish" flu, MERS....Well..
As this lack of uniformity in virus nomenclature complicates communication both in the research field and with health care authorities, governments, and the general public, the Coronavirus Study Group (CSG) of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses took the lead to address this issue. After careful consideration and broad consultation, the CSG has decided to call the new coronavirus Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV). This name is endorsed by the discoverers of the virus and other researchers that pioneered MERS-CoV studies, by the World Health Organization, and by the Saudi Ministry of Health.
It's Zika Virus not fever but considering you've obviously not bothered looking into the history of a single one of those virus' and diseases it's not surprising that you wouldn't know that, anyhow unless you think you can be racist towards a forest I'm not sure how that one proves your point, I'm guessing you were trying to make a point.

Same with West Nile virus, I'm not sure you can be racist towards a river, although you'd probably give it a good go, A. ;)

You could ask the same of those attacking him so vehemently for a more rounded answer.

I suspect you'd find that those two camps (pro/against) both think they are the ones showing common sense with a rational argument whilst the the opposite side are screaming lunatics. Neither side is fully right or wrong (there's rational and loons on both side) but thats how tribalism works - "I think in a similar same way that person A does and person A is being "attacked" by person B who I don't think like so I'll defend person A even if I do/don't agree with everything they do/say" - it's pretty simple human behaviour really.

I entirely get what you are saying.

Objectively speaking though, Trump is an awful human being and an awful President.

LOL, you couldn't make it up. Thanks for making my point so quickly and perfectly :D

Now we just have to decide if your one of the rational ones or a screaming loon, it's not looking good for you Vincent :D

The left column is irrelevant, and you know this. What's relevant is that we've already decided, as a society, to call it the Coronavirus or Covid-19. This was established by health professionals all over the world and is accepted as the correct terminology. By ignoring the socially accepted norm and instead using something which is directly related to race, is literally the definition of racism. You do understand this, right?

The left column is not irrelevant at all, so don't deflect. It's relevant as areas/locations have been used to define the name of disease (some more accurately than others). I'm not saying it's right or wrong.

We as a society did not decide it at all. There was no consensus on that. The media has made that decision for you.

I don't agree with the use of the Chinese virus as that is too vague and also upsets the overly-sensitive people.

CNN got it right when they called it the 'Wuhan CoronaVirus', which is both accurate in location and type of disease.

Which bit of that are you disputing?

Racist. Check
Immoral. Check
Incompetent. Check
Puerile. Check
Dishonest. Check
Mysogynistic. Check
Corrupt. Check

None of those are disputable, all of those character traits can be demonstrated multiple times through his own words and actions.

And all of those also apply to Biden in equal measure and the US has to choose between these 2!!!!

For a more rounded answer, sure. But those 'attacking' him (i wouldn't exactly call it that but whatever) are doing so because his behavior and actions are causing harm to people, demonstrably so. Can those defending him demonstrate that his behavior and actions are having a benefit, that the world is a better place for the behavior and actions of Trump.
Now we just have to decide if your one of the rational ones or a screaming loon, it's not looking good for you Vincent :D
In this day and age if you're not a screaming loon somethings wrong, or you're drinking too much. ;)

As was explained to you before, they called it that when it didn't have a taxonomic classification, the moment it was given an official name they switched to using that, unlike Trump.

Joe Biden 2020

(Using the leftist's playbook)

Racist. Check

2006: "You can't go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent"
February 2007: Obama is "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean”
August 2012: “Put y’all back in chains”
June 2019: Biden touts his work with segregationist senators
August 2019: “Poor kids” just as bright as “white kids”
May 2020: “You ain’t black.”

Immoral. Check

Biden silent on Tara Reade sexual assault allegation, as denials come from campaign.

Incompetent. Check

Even before the swine flu outbreak was declared a pandemic in 2009, Joe Biden nearly caused a public panic with reckless, irresponsible comments that were not supported by science or public health experts.

Sept. 9, 2008

"I'm told Chuck Graham, state senator, is here. Stand up Chuck, let 'em see you. Oh, God love you. What am I talking about. I'll tell you what, you're making everybody else stand up, though, pal."

Biden, telling Missouri state senator Chuck Graham to stand up at a campaign rally, before realizing that Graham is confined to a wheelchair.

'You’re a lying, dog-faced pony soldier' - How Joe Biden imploded amid gaffes and word salads

Dishonest. Check

The Biden campaign is spreading the conspiracy theory that President Trump “decided to let” the coronavirus kill Americans.

Mysogynistic. Check

'You’re a lying, dog-faced pony soldier' - How Joe Biden imploded amid gaffes and word salads

Corrupt. Check

Allowed family members to gain financially from his position as a senator and VP.

it’s people like you are ask why you can’t you the “n” word when a certain group of black do

Reminds me of a time when we were driving to football maybe 20 years ago, myself, a Nigerian friend and another white friend and the banter/discussion turned to that subject.

After a bit of silliness around when a white person could say it.

"What if it's just you and me and you use it first?"

"No, Neil, never."

"But, what if......"

"Never, Neil"

But eventually the conclusion was.

"So, I'm your N, and you're mine, but you can say it and I can't?"

"Unfortunately so, because of the historical context."

Deflecting again
This thread is not about Biden. Also no one cares, he is just an old fool who doesn't think before he speaks.

Makes no sense due to bad use of English language.

If you bothered to read my response I clearly stated I do not agree the use of china virus and why.

If you want a discussion (which you won't), explain why Wuhan (a place) and coronavirus (the disease) are racist?

Not deflecting but you clearly cannot counter the facts here.

It's relevant as this thread is heading towards a major election and the presumed opposition is a mirror of trump.

Stop the pointless whataboutary and try posting something of substance.

Otherwise i'll have to come back down to your level and start posting memes again. :)

If you actually read my post you would have seen I don't need to counter anything you said. I am not a fan of Biden either. The USA is either getting a total incompetent rascist fool for an other 4 years, or and elderly fool. Either way both are bad. It's more a who is the lesser of two evils situation.
