DON'T BUY MSI THEY MIS-SOLD TOP SPEC GT SERIES LAPTOPS with MXM Graphics

I wasn't defending them I was just saying a 4 week turnaround from physically sending a laptop in is nothing unusual, especially for larger companies like MSI that have chaotic international structures.

perhaps it is, but its too far to long to get to this point hence the stress.

i work for a international multi billion pound giant, so i know how these structures work and it doesn't bed to take that long

the problem here i think its lack of good communication, leadership and will to provide excellent customer service (which the younger generation only want more, and faster!)

communication is key in any business to get anything done, i've work for so many that get the basics wrong on this but I don't get how most fail so hard....

I also work for a multi-billion inernational giant, but that doesn't mean I can realistically compare that to a Taiwanese company that clearly isn't so well organised.

Anyway I wish you luck and I hope you get a resolution soon. :)

lets hope they learn from it then how to do better customer service, it will be good for them $$ and good for their customers! it's win win to spend a little more on doing it right the first time...

This is potentially very useful.

Would make sense then, I do think using the forums gets you a quicker response and they cant blow you off by saying one thing to one customer and another to someone else.

Still, would it be right to say the trading in program is something like below.

UK MSI sends you the offer and sends you the details to ship your laptop

Poland MSI checks your Laptop and sends the details to MSI UK.
MSI UK asks you to pay MSI Amsterdam, who tells MSI UK if you payed.
MSI UK sends then your details to Taiwan, who then sends the ok to Amsterdam to send you your laptop.

Somewhere in there people where on holiday for 3 weeks because of Chinese NY.

I'm told my case has been escalated to Neil as Natalie is unable to match the deals others have received. I've sent Neil multiple emails since the 2th Feb but still have had no reply. I hope they don't drag this out like they have with others. I thought id make my case known as i'm already sick of waiting and its only been a couple of weeks, never mind months!

Two weeks is nothing, mines going into week 4 and I wont have a computer until week 5 min at this rate it will be week 6. I think your going to be waiting a little bit longer, Neil should be sorting mine out today, though he is limited in what he can do as he is out of the office again.

I`m passed the phase of withdrawals now, I think I`m in the third stage of I don't give a **** but I do. So tired of watching my inbox everyday, hoping I`ll get that email saying we want your monies now.

Because its going to take ages no matter what happens, delays in payment clearing, delays in shipping. I`m just that bummed out by the wait I just don't care, it will come but who knows when.

I`m still going to be pressing for details, though no doubt so is everyone else and I guess this will slow things down a bit, especially if they are getting 1000s of emails a day.

MSI Notebook UK are dealing with a maximum of 200 UK customers in regards to this matter. Likely considerably less.

Neo

Keep emailing and calling

My laptop is shipped I have tracking and it should arrive tomorrow!!

This week should see some action and next week.

I think you will be shocked how few actually mate... Below 20.

Which makes me think not many msi customers know about this

WTF ? Seriously ?

Why is it taking so long then ?
I was thinking they where overwhelmed by the numbers.
If its only a few hundred, it shouldn't take this long.

OK, so MSI hasn't told all their customers that bought a GT series that is eligible for the trade in program, you would at least thought they would have advised resellers to stop using this:

MSI needs to confirm that the trade in limitation date of 31/12/2016 is not valid whilst their resellers (this particular reseller is listed on MSI's own website) are still advertising the MXM upgradability.

Not even slightly trying to play devils advocate, but 4 weeks is a pretty normal turnaround for almost all laptop warranty actions.

Last time I sent my laptop off, I had it back with two weeks, it was a pretty fast turnaround, considering they had to replace the motherboard and screen. Now there is less than 20 people in the uk for the trade in and its taking longer.
I was expecting something today, still nothing the weekend is almost here and week 5 will begin soon.

I can confirm that paying before you receive the payment email works. Msi have received my payment and waiting for it to clear. Looking good for next week

Also there's no excuse for these wait times I too think there dealing with a small number of people there just to busy with other things like that event and we seem to be getting shunted

It still sucks, Chinese new year, the MSI event.
I wish I could pay now, but I have no idea how much they want.
No doubt when they send my laptop to me, Ill get a message saying
Train Derailed package destroyed, or they will just hand me a bin bag full of bits.

Have you got your resolution with msi regarding your machine ? If so what have you got coming ?

I just got an awesome email of Neil, I`m going to pay MSI tonight.
Then send them an email, they haven't asked for monies yet, but it will only speed things up.

Hi Neo

Thanks for your patience. Also please accept my apologies on this situation as it has dragged on. We do value you as a customer, I can confirm that there will be no charge for the repair of the A Side due to the scratch.

Kind Regards

So you are paying £290 to upgrade to a notebook with GTX 1080?
