Same.. I never did get the mods to play fair with me, I never seemed to get he widescreen hack to work well either..
To be honest, I might pick this up in a sale.. I'm more tempted by "sleeping dogs" for £14.99 on Steam at the moment..
Don't know if this has been mentioned yet but Greenmangaming have a 20% code on their front page, brings this down to £16.
I'm sold, just seen it's got native 3D Vision support, rated excellent!
Is this worth the £20 asking price or should I wait till Xmas sales? I've seen comparisons between the BFG Edition and a modded DooM 3 and the BFG Edition looks like vanilla DooM 3, looked really disappointing.
Its £13.33 on steam
If you own doom3 on steam it's cheaper.

I think this is just a direct port from console version. Wouldn't waste cash on this.
Why would it be a "port" (a word you seem to cherish), surely its just doom3 with the expansion levels added, some new levels and other bits and pieces?

What’s also sad is that this new version looks worse in some areas than the vanilla version did back in the days. Yes, shaders have been tweaked in this new version but the flashlight does not cast shadows. It’s true that id Software had troubles with the console version of Doom 3: BFG. Our guess is that Carmack decided to ditch the dynamic shadows that are casted by the flashlight in order to gain a bit more performance on consoles. And as you may have guessed, that console limitation was ported to the PC version.
in BFBFG the muzzle flashes from the guns don’t cast light. In the original Doom 3, the light thrown by firing a gun turned several demonic firefights into these awesome strobing action set pieces. In
