Dr. Disrespect permanently banned from Twitch

Streaming will be around for ages yet. I mean just look at all the people who simply watch people cook on shows like Bake Off, or watch Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse fishing, or for that matter watch Bob Ross just painting, or watch people watch TV on Gogglebox, or just watch people sitting around in a house/beach on various reality shows. I myself have spent many an hour simply watching two old farts going up and down in a canal boat on Great Canal Journeys (or whatever the show is called)

I don't get why he's still so popular the persona which wasn't original at all got old after a couple of months.
Please show us who was doing this before him, I'm intrigued, as I think you're incorrect on his originality.

Just people with nothing better to do than watch twitch 70 hours a week.
The % of people who watch Twitch 70 hours a week without it mostly being some background noise on a 2nd monitor must surely by <1%. Not exactly 'just people' lol.

I feel like the streaming boom is coming to an end the new thing will be playing games again not watching someone else play.
I doubt that, especially with the pandemic.

He isn't that funny these days but he was, a long long time ago...

I get why people watch Twitch rather than playing games themselves.

There are many a night when I simply feel too tired to concentrate properly on a game or don't have the energy but can quite happily sit down for half an hour and watch somebody else do it.

I have also REALLY got into watching competitive PUBG e-sports. I've really enjoyed the tournaments that have taken place over the last few years and grown to know teams and players.

To think, previous generations lambasted kids for being too lazy to play outside because they preferred to sit indoors on their Playstation. Now we're too lazy to even play the video games ourselves :p

honestly the most unfunny video i've ever seen. Saying that's funny i don't get it. not to be disrespectful but can you quote a single joke? I mean he's ranting for sure, but there isn't a joke said, unless you can show me otherwise. I'm not saying he's bad for a video like that, maybe people enjoy that ranting style, but it's not funny.

Bikeman on the other hand is hilarious streamer and super under rated.

It's almost as if humour is subjective.
Sure but quote anything funny in the Dr d video then. I don't disagree that it wouldn't be entertaining to some and that's fine each to their own, I wouldn't judge what you find worthy of your time or not, but that user posted that specific video specifically to show Dr disrespect as once upon a time funny. I cannot see one single funny moment, but I welcome it to be quoted so I can see what is funny about it. Is that too much to ask?

No, that's the point. As humour is subjective and based on peoples personal experiences and philosophy, then it's not going to matter how much someone tries to explain the humour in it, you aren't going to laugh.

No it's really not the point and I don't get why this is so difficult. He posted the video to show an example of Dr d being once upon a time funny.

Would be good if he or anyone could quote the bits he specifically finds funny in that video as i (and I imagine most others in this thread) don't see it. It's not that hard to find them if this video is what he finds funny, and it's not too much to ask.

So you're saying that humour isn't subjective and it needs to be explained to you when someone else finds something funny that you don't?

FYI, I don't particularly think the video is that funny either, certainly not laugh out loud. However, I can see why people find that type of satirical comedy funny. That video you've posted in a reply above isn't something I find funny at all but that's just the way it goes :)

There's likely some context missing as it looks like he was already disliked by the devs on that stream for being critical of the game.

I think it's fair to say Apex does not like the Dr......... :)

instead of worrying about whether the manchild is funny or not have we found out who he did/didn't/should/shouldn't have fiddled with or shown his schlong to?!

Not as of yet. A few other streamers have started to stream on YouTube but apart from that just speculation still.

He had a long-standing hatred of H1Z1 and particularly it's devs (despite the fact he always played the game) and the stream he was watching was done by the H1Z1 team.

Yes I suppose it needed context, if he were just ranting at random people it would have been a different story altogether.

he was right about h1 team, it was a massive great game then in one patch they made it a broken done game. its a shame as it was lots of fun.

Agreed, Bikeman is hilarious, his improvs can be amazing. That Axe-cop thing he did literally had me in tears lol. Other funny stuff he did is Ben Stiller in Dragon Age, Darth Vader the pizza delivery guy, I could go on :)

So you're saying
Here's a tip for you. Whenever you feel yourself going to say the above line, realise what follows is about to be wrong.

humour isn't subjective and it needs to be explained to you

No how you came to that conclusion I don't know, very odd thing. He posted a video saying this is an example of someone being funny. I said I don't see it and welcomed anyone to show the funny parts.

Then you came out with this "so you're saying humour isn't subjective" nonsense. Jesus.
