plausible deniability all day long, the websites main userbase is what like 14? its a pedos dream, it must attract them

not saying the Doc is one, but there will be more than a few of them on the websiote.

even roblox has problems with pedos

yea it implies every twitch user is over 18. so doc maybe thought she was 18

at the cons it's loads of kids? every time any streamer does anything in public it seems to be hoards of school children.

Streaming the new radio, just waiting for the jimmy Saville's to be exposed.
It's possible he was talking to someone before they were legal, and then once they were legal he tried to take things more naughty.

It's kind of a grey area but not something twitch would want public and not exactly illegal if no grooming happened before hand.

but really any friendship could be considered grooming with someone under age, when there;s a massive status/wealth gap

It does explain a few things.

Such as the initial response from Sacriel's wife on Twitter/X when she posted if true DrDisrespect wouldn't work in the industry again (was deleted after the abuse she got, similar to slasher). And then losing the Discord partnership soon after the Twitch ban. Also he never signed a contract with Youtube and has simply been streaming without the 'bag' unlike other big names on there. Also DrDisrespect has himself talked about being shadow banned from certain events and publishers. And of course in 2017 admitted to cheating on his wife.

It never made sense that he was dropped over a Mixer deal or some of the other theories over the years.
 
Video game streamers for the most part are just modern day glorified Timmy Mallets, kids entertainers.

Would properly weird me out if I was in my mid 40s streaming and the majority of my viewers were kids/teens/early 20 somethings. Having kids donate their pocket money to you for playing video games lol. The cringe would be too much to handle, at least right up until I view the first paycheque lol

It displays information from users above 18 only. It doesn't total 100% nor do any of us know how accurate it is.

Twitch is for anyone aged 13 and above.

Wild that Doc and his business partner Twitch sat down with at least one lawyer each and between them decided there was no wrongdoing to make public.

Then Twitch kept him banned and paid him to get off their property and never say anything about the deal.

He's volunteering information which stinks and doesn't seem to realise it.

I'm not sure if we've had official confirmation from any party yet?

But the covering up of this kind of thing isn't uncommon in many companies. Because they look on it as reputational damage.

They don't go to the police either because the story might get out.

No one will confirm or deny it as they'll be a legal agreement in place.

No illegal wrong doing could be proved. Both sued each other which was settled outside of court. Doc getting the remainder of his contract paid in agreement for him leaving the platform.

Doc hasn't denied the allegations but acknowledged for legal reasons he can't say more. We may not get any more information about this.
 
I havent read all this thread so dont know what the reason was.

But I know on Nopixel role play servers (which was full of big streamers), one of the more well known role players got banned, at the time of being banned he if I remember right was also averaging viewers on twitch in the 1000s. The rumour that eventually came out was, it was sexual harassment related.
 
He just got fired from his game dev studio he co-founded while streaming and starts talking about retirement.

On Friday evening we became aware of an allegation against one of our co-founder’s Guy Beahm aka Dr Disrespect.

We assumed his innocence and began speaking with parties involved. And in order to maintain our principles and standards as a studio and individuals, we needed to act.

For this reason, we are terminating our relationship with Guy Beahm immediately.

While these facts are difficult to hear and even more difficult to accept, it is our duty to act with dignity on behalf of all individuals involved, especially the fifty-five developers and families we have employed along with our community of players.
